A warm welcome from friendly,helpful staff in a comfortable hotel with menus varied+prepared well.
Pros:

We chose the destination as a hub for a cycling break and bicycle was our main means of travel from Dundee to which we variously travelled by train or bus. On booking, I had felt that the hotel was quite expensive but the standard exceeded my expectations with warm, comfortable rooms, excellent food with plenty vegetables, perfectly cooked, with the meat and fish dishes. Above all, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Full marks here.

Cons:

More fibre for breakfast, maybe loose muesli, prepared fresh fruit and unsweetened natural yoghurt.

I was here for what you might call a reunion of sorts. The room was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. However, as a senior citizen, carrying a suitcase up a somewhat spiral staircase was unexpected.

Grand stay and very good service.
Pros:

Comfortable stay in friendly hotel
Pros:

Bedrooms have been tastefully refurbished
Dining room and dinner very nice
Staff very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Bathrooms very clean but a bit dated.
Cooked part of breakfast lovely. A bigger variety of fruit on buffet table would have been nice.

Lovely, friendly, clean hotel with good food which is all you ask for.
Pros:

Nice friendly hotel, handy for the golf course. We were given a spacious family room for the 2 of us. Lovely, freshly cooked breakfast and plenty choice if you prefer continental.

Cons:

Not a criticism but a shelf in the toilet for toiletries would be handy.

It was amazing and a very comfy place to relax and unwind.
Pros:

We love the location and the history of Edzell village itself, that there were shops nearby especially the fact we got to take a fish supper up to the room, hotel bar was amazing shower amazing. Room was very Victorian like with a 4 poster bed. Clean tidy. Would suggest others to stay there. Next time a longer visit as we hope to do more sight seeing around the area in the near future.

Cons:

Nothing we didn't like except I couldn't WiFi however knew ahead of arrival as had been to the pub few times prior with family, years ago
