we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone.
Pros:

Lovely old building, beautifully renovated. Parking available as was breakfast, lunch and dinner. our room was quite spacious with lovely design and renovated bathroom. the staff were really friendly and helpful. it is really lovely town which started out as just a dot on the map for an overnight stay but it has quite an interesting history.

Just what we needed for the one night
Pros:

It was dog friendly and there is a nice park just opposite the hotel

Excellent
Pros:

Stayed the night as part of a backpack across Scotland. The hotel was excellent, allowed us to check in early so we didn't need to carry our packs around, and the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Breakfast in the morning was under £8 so we didn't expect much and we booked it because it meant we could get an early start without waiting for cafes to open. We were wrong. It was cooked to order and excellent, full Scottish, toast, cereal and coffee and orange juice. Frankly one of the best breakfasts of the two weeks, and certainly the best value. Taken as a whole the Panmure offered excellent food and accomodation at a reasonable price and id have no hesitation in staying again.

A lovely couple of days away
Pros:

It was welcoming, the room was good size and the bathroom was lovely. The restaurant has a fantastic menu and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great stay in a quieter bit of Scotland
Pros:

Excellent location for exploring the Angus glens. Edzell village is not on an overcrowded tourist route, so is nicely out of the main-stream. Hotel of a good standard, restaurant facilities available.
