Always an enjoyable stay.
Pros:

When staying in Manchester we always stay at the The Woodthorpe Hotel. Location is excellent if one wishes to visit the city centre, but also it is located next to the beautiful Heaton Park. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is delicious, with an excellent menu ranging from traditional British food through to more exotic items. A good choice for every taste. Excellent choice of beers, wines and spirits. Friendly staff. The pub itself has a good atmosphere and one can see why it is a popular watering hole. What is there not to like?

Cons:

Nothing at all to grumble about 10/10

Not perfect but good value
Pros:

The food was excellent and great atmosphere in the pub with a large outdoor seating area. The hotel room itself was large with a comfortable bed and windows that actually opened which was good for keeping the room a bit cooler in the hot weather

Cons:

No air conditioning in the room. The bathroom and room itself need updating. Looks like the bathroom has not been decorated for some years. No breakfast available as pub/restaurant not open until 12pm when check out is early at 10am. No fridge in room and no bottled water supplied

Decent value for what it offers.
Pros:

Well priced accommodation on a busy weekend in Manchester. Nice location and a decent pub.

Cons:

My room was above the pub toilets and a ventilation fan kept coming on. I assumed this would finish when the pub closed, but it must have been on a timer and kept coming on regularly throughout the night.

Suitable for a quick corporate stop over I would say
Pros:

City location with free parking in safe neighbourhood

Cons:

It’s not what I would call a cozy bed and breakfast Stay it is very much a corporate hotel with three rooms to Leith when I asked about breakfast and they said oh no, we don’t do breakfast we are a pub! Also you know when you visit A corporate designed bedroom, which is all grey and dark green I wish of the person who designed it does not actually have to sleep in it. It was all a bit depressing, particularly with dark carpets which hide many stain I assume.

Large clean bed, clean bathroom, lots of hot water and nice warm room. Manager Jo was lovely too.

Cons:

Dated decor, basic facilities. Terrible view out of window couldn’t open bathroom window. Not worth the money

Comfortable large room
Pros:

Lovely from the outside, plenty of parking. Room was huge and main bed was comfortable. Good tea and coffee facilities with complimentary biscuits. Plenty of towels and pillows. Bathroom was lovely and warm as well as the bedroom. Couldn’t hear the pub downstairs at all.

Cons:

Room could have been abit cleaner, there was quite a lot of dust and spider webs. The general building was creaky and loud where the rooms were. No option to include breakfast with our stay, even on a weekend. Price was steep for one night without breakfast included.
