Maybe a few more options for my dietary requirements
The hall and grounds, the friendly staff, the breakfast, the grey lady and the pigs and peacocks are all the things we liked, and also very dog friendly.
Loads of space for 5 dads and 6 boys (Pele Tower)
Nothing, was great.
A beautiful setting and a convenient location. Set it its own grounds with plenty of parking. Breakfast excellent as was the evening meal, with a varied menu. It was lovely to spend time watching the peacocks and hens as well.
There was nothing to dislike. We couldn’t fault our stay at all.
The House, the surroundings and the breakfast were really lovely. Good base for exploring. Staff were all very nice, and the peacocks were noisy. If you are lucky, there are free eggs at reception to take home. The bar was well stocked and food prices in the restaurant were very reasonable.
Our room was just a little dark (no 8)
What a surprise. Great accommodation in lovely grounds. Close to Scarfell Pike
