Clean rooms and good location
Pros:

Bedroom is small but clean, tidy and comfortable. Bathroom spotless and great shower. Great location next to the canal with lots of walks. Great beer garden.

Cons:

Tables on beer garden very dirty.had 2 meals here and sat inside as a much nicer ambience for eating. Steak was great. 2nd night we had pork belly and the portion I got was barely 2 mouthfuls (my husband’s was 5 times the size). We did mention this and the waitress said she could ask chef for more but I declined as we had already waited 40mins for the first plate.

Lovely place to stay, cannot fault
Pros:

Very nice hotel & pub. Lovely location by the canal. Great food, great staff, clean, beautiful, comfortable room with a great shower. Well equipped. Stayed here as was attending an event at the NEC - it was half the price and twice as good as any of the NEC hotels. Will stay again next time.

Cons:

Nothing, great stay

Very small, dark room. Hot. Not a great pub experience.
Pros:

Convenient

Cons:

Understaffed, bad hygiene. Lots of uncollected food plates and drinks left on many tables. Chose not to have breakfast there because of a bad experience the night before.

The hotel, staff, service and food were excellent but it is spoiled by the room sizes.
Pros:

The location, food, service and staff were excellent.

Cons:

We were disappointed with the ‘small double room’. It was too small and not suited to two people.
The Gents toilets were also too small. It was almost impossible to enter the cubicle and turn round in the space provided.

Lovely relaxing 2 night getaway
Pros:

Very stylish, bonus car park lovely location. Good food and polite staff

Cons:

Room 7 was very small, description does say small room but there wasn’t adequate space to manoeuvre from the bed to the bathroom without bashing your legs, curtains on that side in the way, we placed them up on the window sill.
Good bathroom and easy to manage shower with immediate hot water
There was a chair and a table in the room but to get to the drawers below the table you have to remove the chair, … total faff.
Very clean room, comfy bed and pillows tea and coffee plus plenty of plugs and the bonus of 2 fans.

What a lovely location and surprise !
Pros:

Didn't have a big breakfast but what I did have was lovely. The dinner selection was good and the quality of my dinner was fabulous ! The staff were very friendly and although I was only there for one night, I will certainly return and will recommend ! !
