Superb hotel in a fabulous location
Pros:

We stayed at the white lion and attended the Welland steam fair. The location was ideal. A short drive or taxi ride to and from the fair. On arrival we were greeted by staff who could not have been more pleasant. I have coeliac disease and the menu was adapted for me without any fuss or issues. The room was comfortable and the en-suite was clean along with the room. The free parking was good at the rear of the property. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone

Great location for Bristol balloon festival.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, great shower and spacious room. Good food and atmosphere in the bar, friendly locals.

Cons:

end ground floor room, window elevation onto courtyard/patio area where people sitting at tables.
We had to close the curtain to stop people looking into our room, making the room dark. Room needs a privacy net or blind on the window.

Very nice would stay again.

Couldn’t open the windows painted shut - in a heatwave needed to yell some air in the room at night.

Cons:

My room was quite small and very hot. Had the window been opened it would have been much better.
Breakfast not served till 9. I had to leave earlier than that.

Pros:

The location, the bed was lovely

Cons:

It was a warm evening and the fan supplied was only just adequate which made a very stuffy night's sleep. The shower took a little working as the water was extremely hot but once we got the temperature it was powerful enough
