Comfortable enough but expensive
Pros:

friendly staff , good breakfast . Well located accessible parking

Cons:

For a small twin room and small bathroom , up three flights of stairs , it was expensive .

Fantastic hotel, breakfast and evening meal were outstanding
Pros:

I stayed in a twin room on the third floor, it was extremely clean and a very good size. It had a number of amenities such as kettle and coffee maker also!

Nothing.

The room was the most we have complain about which to us made the stay expensive .
Cons:

Lack of choice in in dinner in the dinner menu . Due to work being carried out , breakfast starters had to be carried a long way from a table up steps to table , The room supposed to be exceptional was not , No drawers . it lacked enough bright lighting so as to be difficult to read both in the room or in bed one side of reading lamp broken . , The coffee /tea making in a dark alcove which made it difficult to see what you were doing . You had to be in bed to watch the TV. We killed 5 creatures in the bathroom which were long, but we could not identify. Shower was inviting but attention to detail not good enough

Pleasant hotel and apartment room. Some shortfalls on service and restaurant menu choice and price
Pros:

Apartment accommodation superb. Spacious, private, well equipped, great views over countryside.
Breakfast - cooked breakfast excellent. Good choice
Dinner - tasty. Bar man very helpful on wine choice

Cons:

Apartment - we did not master the heating controls. No explanation given when taken occupation and no instructions in room.
Similar with the lighting. We could not get the porch and some of the lights to work. Trial and error with others.
The information welcome card on coffee table not applicable to this room. Advised we had Bluetooth touch speakers in the headboard when clearly we didn’t.
Breakfast -delivered by staff somewhat surly in attitude. No finesse or pleasant welcoming manner. No explanation of system eg where to find the cold buffet items. Tables not cleared, became somewhat cramped.
Dinner - limited meal choice and somewhat pricey. Restaurant out of bounds in evening due to floor replacement work but no advice given when reserving. Dining in bar, same menu and restaurant prices.

Overpriced, badly managed, poor customer service.
Pros:

Breakfast and Dinner food were both good.

Cons:

Overpriced, average accommodation, some (not all) badly trained staff with little concept or regard for good customer service. Parking a total mess to the point of being dangerous due to the ongoing building work, with contractors vehicles jamming up hotel guest parking. Accommodation: continuously running water cistern all night long, preventing sleep. There wasn't any point in reporting this to hotel staff, as it was clear they didn't care.

Excellent stay and would return .
Pros:

High quality fixtures and fittings . Very comfortable bed , and quality linen . Food was of very good quality . Very quiet and peaceful . Lovely shower , with incredible water pressure .

Cons:

The curtains were difficult to operate . Some of the staff were very good , whilst others were hard work . Room should have been restocked with bin emptied, without requesting. The breakfast sausage wasn’t to my liking.

Lovely stay in a lovely area
Pros:

We had the full English (Yorkshire?)The breakfast was excellent, the quality of the food was very good & we couldn’t fault it. The staff were friendly. We also had an evening meal & that was very good too, a bit pricey but very nice. The location of the hotel is excellent & the area is stunning, it really is just 5 minutes from the falls which are beautiful.

Cons:

We had the cottage, it smelt musty (possibly the carpet?) & was tired looking, but fine. It was also a bit noisy as there was building work going on so it wasn’t very peaceful. All in all the room was pricey for what it was but given the time of year & location I guess that was a bit contributor.
