Evening dinner menu range and quality
Very tasty (I had a full English) and well-cooked but there was a more than ample choice to suit different tastes.
Perhaps the cutlery was little on the light side-heavier ones seem more up-market-but this is just a quibble.

No lift and front outside hotel seating looking over harbour not reservable
Best view ever. Comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. Food was OK.
Restaurant rather expensive and not really good value for money.
Location and terrace outside were superb. Breakfast was good and the right quantity. It was a real bonus that the car parking in the public car park was paid for as part of the hotel stay and we didn't need to pay extra.
The service at breakfast was a bit hit and miss - forgot to bring milk then forgot to bring toast later on. I admit we paid for a "small" double room but it really was small!
Put simply - everything was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, the hotel facilities provided everything to make a guests stay comfortable, everywhere was clean and beautifully presented. Our room (a Deluxe Double) was comfortable, clean and spacious.
Breakfast offered plenty of choice - the Exmoor breakfast was excellent - and the dinners we enjoyed from either the restaurant or terrace menu were tasty and good value.
The terrace by the harbour provides a lovely spot for relaxing at any time of day.
Lovely Seaview, comfortable bed. We’ll definitely come back again.

The location is wonderful. Our room was lovely - clean and comfortable. The hotel says it is dog friendly and it is.
The breakfast was the downside of our visit. For example we had tea every morning. The pot did not quite fill two cups so we had to ask for extra water. Just provide a jug of hot water in the first place or get bigger pots or smaller cups!!
I ordered toast and one slice of granary arrived - it was the smallest piece of bread I had ever been served because it was the crust off the end of a loaf - not even a slice of bread! Homemade pancakes are on the menu - beautifully presented but its actually one small pancake cut in half! So either change the menu to say pancake or just serve two! I could go on - just a let down on an otherwise lovely stay

There seemed to be a gap between 4p.m - 6p.m when you could not get any food either in the Hotel or the village (Porlick Weir). Would just happen to be when I fancied a snack. ☹️
Lovely location, air conditioned room, dining room had excellent views, dinner and breakfast were very good, service friendly and efficient.
Room was comfortable but quite small, bathroom good..
