Lots of steep stairs to get to room.

Be careful when booking this hotel. The pictures do not reflect the reality. There was no office desk in the room, and no elevator to access the rooms, which is a real issue if you have luggage.

I checked out early because the room was not as expected, but the hotel refused to cancel the remaining nights or offer any refund.

I would recommend checking all the details directly with the hotel before booking, as what you see in the listing may not be what you actually get.

I thought it would be too loud being at a pub but the windows were super thick and we didn’t hear anything at all (so this dislike is actually a like?)

Bed too small for 2 people and shower had very little pressure

I could not visit again in summer, the heat was unbearable in the upper floor, slept on the floor for the whole stay because the bed was so warm. Had fans in the room but blowing hot air. The plumbing needs maintenance (this is our 2nd stay here) the first stay had water pressure issues so you couldn’t shower if someone else was showering in another room. this stay there was no cold water, if set to cold the shower would just stop, which when the room is above 30 degrees day and night was not ideal (obviously we can’t control the weather and perm air con is expensive but even small portable air con units are definitely needed in the upper rooms) as the windows don’t open more than a third for safety. Also a few general maintenance issues (broken chair / fan needing maintenance as not performing as needs cleaning)
