We loved the art deco style and furniture
The road close by could be a bit noisy but not that bad.
It's a stunning building and right next to an aerodrome... what's not to like?
The food and the rooms were delicious and comfy respectively, and it was in a nice location too.
The room was very clean and the bed comfortable, a very substantial breakfast and the staff courteous and helpful
The perfect stay
My only problem, it is extremely difficult to make a reservation to stay at this fine hotel, it seems rooms are blocked off making it very difficult to make a booking online !
The hole experience was Great from the time we arrived to leaving. the location is fantastic for anyone who loves aviation as the aircraft are parked just outside the beer garden .Great rooms,Great price,Great location 10/10 I will stay there again.

This is a stylish art deco hotel. There were period features and furniture that made this hotel unique. Even the hotel corridors were interesting. The attached restaurant overlooks the airfield and continues the art deco theme. The evening food was great and the breakfast well catered. There was plenty of free parking.
Because it is a period hotel, there was no air-conditioning. The exceptional heatwave had left the rooms warm.
We could hear the road traffic from our room, and didn't get a great view. Next time we stay, we will ask for an airfield side.
We loved the Art Deco styling of the hotel, with all the furnishings and decorations appropriate to the era. The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, with enough drawers and hanging space. The car park was also off-road, surrounded by the hotel buildings. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly and polite.
Unfortunately, the room was quite warm at night even with the windows fully open, so maybe some air conditioning could be a solution, especially with the hotter weather these days. and there was a persistent, clattering, banging noise in the distance from around 4am onwards, which kept us awake. Perhaps there is a nearby freight terminal, we're not sure.
What a beautiful hotel. The Art Deco theming is stunning, our room was large, with plenty of space, and the bed was very comfortable. Great shower as well, and a non-slip bath mat was provided without us having to ask. The staff were all wonderful. They were chatty, friendly, and the lady at reception was extremely helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. In fact, we almost certainly will at some point.
The food was good quality and portions were very generous, but the menu wasn’t to my personal taste so I would’ve struggled if we’d eaten here every day of our stay. I felt that breakfast was a bit compromised by the fact it was a buffet, which I don’t think is how the hotel normally does breakfast. I think they normally have a breakfast menu, but the hotel was extremely busy while we were there and so I think the approach was changed. Being a buffet meant that breakfast wasn’t particularly hot and the eggs in particular were rubbery, as fried eggs often are on a buffet. This wouldn’t stop us staying again, and I wouldn’t say the food was bad, it just didn’t really suit me.
No lift. No meals Sunday evening. No hot water and no information about air con and shower. Very disappointed.
Breakfast and location.
Friendly staff, hotel decor, room was a good temperature and spacious. Location despite being next to an airfield was nice and quiet. Room was clean and overall we felt very relaxed there.
Nothing, it was all great.
Trip worked out well, enjoyed visiting the airfield museum and cafe; the hotel was a terrific environment, good food, friendly people.

Nice room and a good breakfast. All of the staff that I came into contact with were very pleasant and polite. Liked the way that the bar and the dining room was separated from the hotel. Good bar area that gave good service with reasonable prices.
Car parking a little confusing at first and that there was no lift which did create some difficulties.
The vibe is brilliant with the Art Deco inspired theme throughout- the closeness to the parking areas of the airfield gives it something very special
Nothing !!
The airfield and a private P51 Mustang airshow was a nice surprise.
Everything is a bit dated but I did like the overall aviator theme.
I was visiting the airfield which was next to the hotel. The location was perfect for our stay.
The room was as expected but there was a lack of electric points close to the bed. It would also be an advantage to have USB charging points in the electrical points.
Excellent location for the airfield.
Rooms very basic. No ‘extra’ eg shower cap or moisturiser or wipes etc
I personally prefer unsmoked bacon.
