This is an excellent little inn right in the heart of Coniston village. The two rooms we booked were excellent - clean, comfortable, well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially manager Richard who continually asked us if all was ok, and even checked us in himself whilst we were having lunch. Good, varied food menu (the pizzas were exceptional), wide choice of beers and spirits, and the cooked breakfasts were superb. Great to sit at the tables outside and watch the world go by. Will definitely visit again.
No complaints from me - all I would say is that the shower cubicle was 'slightly' snug for someone like myself who is a little on the chunky side.

Location excellent, in centre of Coniston, hub of the town.Beds and room comfortable, towels were amazingly thick and large.
We ate breakfast outside, and friends who were staying in other accommodation joined us.We all commented on the high quality, locally sourced products, and good value for paying customers, ours was included.Will definitely stay again.
Ni parking, however we knew this prior to booking.There is a large car park 5 min walk away, it was £10 for 24 hours.

Room was too small. Oppressively stuffy and hot. Inadequate fan. Impossible for any claustrophobic customers. Wish I hadn't booked non refundable.

No on site parking but that is no fault of the hotel .
Maybe because it was the day when england were playing football, but it was extremely loud.And even when the football finished, they were playing loud music. A great venue for youngsters but not us older people.
Staff were friendly. Sit in or out option for food and drinks. The pizza was unbelievable. Breakfast was delicious. The bed was so comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.
