Welcoming and friendly with great food.
Pros:

On arrival and throughout the stay, the staff were brilliant. Really friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Stayed during the hottest day in June, they provided us with fans in the room and as much ice as we wanted to try and keep things cool.

The room was very spacious and clean. We were on the high street but barely heard any noise, there was live music on while we were staying there but it was really quiet in the room.

The pizza's we ordered from the pub kitchen were amazing!!

Fantastic all around, looking forward to staying again in the future. Highly recommended.

Cons:

A mini fridge in the room would have been nice to keep a few drinks cool in the heat.

Lovely wee hotel!

Nice hotel, great staff, fab location

Cons:

The only thing I would have loved would have been a mini fridge in the family room. We were there during the heatwave and any drinks or water we had bought for the room during the night quickly became undrinkable as the room was extremely warm. Other than that, a great stay!

Pros:

Nice young lady welcomed us and showed us to our room.

Cons:

Room had two single beds, expected double. Shower head had water coming out of it's side. When in shower, water became cold, like hot water stopped. Then it came back on, strange. Toilet seat not clean. If you have leg or knee issues, be aware long climb up stairs.

You pay for what you get, but the staff were great!
Pros:

Great hotel for us, nothing fancy, everything worked and the bar area had a good vibe. Staff were good.

Cons:

Any older type establishment has it’s foible’s so just go with it, after all it’s been around a lot longer than me and will last another 100 years!

Comfortable & value for money in that town location.
Pros:

Food at the bar restaurant was amazing, both quality, presentation and quantity.

Privacy for the customer

Free car parking

Cons:

Very old room with old carpet , old furniture, old towels.

Room was warm as it’s summer season and managed with a small table fan as there was no air conditioning.

Pros:

The staff were all so helpful and friendly. It’s a very old property with loads of character and charm. The food was excellent and everything was very good value

Room was far too hot. Windows didn’t open properly. No fan or air con. Noise from the marquee and outdoor area was highly intrusive. Sound of doors slamming from the external entrance constantly interrupted our sleep. Overall, really poor.

Schon unser zweiter Besuch. Wir sind immer wieder vom wundervollen Charme des alten Hotels überwältigt. Eintauchen in eine lange zurückliegende Geschichte, die Mauern könnten viel erzählen. Wer Luxus sucht, ist hier fehl am Platz. Die Einrichtung und das Haus an und für sich sind alt, gerade das macht den Charme des Hauses aus. Das Zimmer war ultrasauber gereinigt. Wir kommen wieder...

Cons:

Leider waren dieses Mal die Tische zum Nachtessen bereits ausgebucht, gerne hätten wir im uralten Pub des Hotels gegessen. Dafür haben wir einen wunderbaren Italiener gefunden, das war auch toll...

Room was small, bottle of water on window ledge outside. Right by a streetlight. No bedside tables or bedside lights. Room felt a little small for the price.
