Excellent value and extremely comfortable stay
Pros:

The staff were all so helpful and friendly. It’s a very old property with loads of character and charm. The food was excellent and everything was very good value

Room was far too hot. Windows didn’t open properly. No fan or air con. Noise from the marquee and outdoor area was highly intrusive. Sound of doors slamming from the external entrance constantly interrupted our sleep. Overall, really poor.

Schon unser zweiter Besuch. Wir sind immer wieder vom wundervollen Charme des alten Hotels überwältigt. Eintauchen in eine lange zurückliegende Geschichte, die Mauern könnten viel erzählen. Wer Luxus sucht, ist hier fehl am Platz. Die Einrichtung und das Haus an und für sich sind alt, gerade das macht den Charme des Hauses aus. Das Zimmer war ultrasauber gereinigt. Wir kommen wieder...

Cons:

Leider waren dieses Mal die Tische zum Nachtessen bereits ausgebucht, gerne hätten wir im uralten Pub des Hotels gegessen. Dafür haben wir einen wunderbaren Italiener gefunden, das war auch toll...

Cons:

Room was small, bottle of water on window ledge outside. Right by a streetlight. No bedside tables or bedside lights. Room felt a little small for the price.

Excellent location and helpful staff
Pros:

The staff were extremely helpful when I explained about my autism and being late to check in due to needing to keep to routine. The location to Thorpe Park is excellent and having an Aldi round the corner is also fantastic. Being above a pub was quiet

Pros:

Parking readily available. Staff helpful. Room clean. Hot water available when required. Tea and coffee making facilities present. Free WIFI.

Cons:

Room was small and no hand towel. No double glazing so noisy. No bedside table as room was small. No kitchen open beyond 4.15 on Monday 4th May. They had run out of Waldorfs?

Lovely little pub/hotel. Brilliant value for money for beers and food. Friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

Well located. Easy access. Private secure parking. Staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room (3) facing high street had a bright street light right by the window. Windows were a bit rattly.

Miłe zaskoczenie
Pros:

Lokalizacja w centrum miasteczka, ok. pół godzinki pieszo od parku rozrywki "Thorpe Park". Zabytkowy budynek, ale pokoje przytulne, a szczególnie mile zaskoczyła mnie łazienka z wanną i włączonym ogrzewaniem, mimo drugiej połowy kwietnia. W pokoju miękka wykładzina. Łóżko wysokie, sprężyste, ale raczej wygodne. W wyposażeniu czajnik i zestaw kawowy. Niezła relacja ceny do standardu.

Cons:

Z mojego pokoju okna wychodziły na sąsiednie, w odległości kilku metrów.
Sporadycznie hałasujący sedes z kruszarką (o czym obiekt uprzedza w mailu powitalnym, podobnie jak o paru innych niedogodnościach, typu starsze okna).

Really sweet hotel close to thorpe park
Pros:

Absolutely amazing staff, friendly and really helpful. The pub downstairs was Absolutely adorable and such a happy atmosphere. We checked in and got all the info, everything was explained and they went above and beyond to help us out

Cons:

Nothing admittedly. It was all so lovely. The one thing we got confused on was when last meals were on each day. We missed Sundays by mistake.
