Well appointed hotel with lovely pool and sauna.
Sadly, we had very little sleep as our room was like an oven. This could easily have been rectified by staff keeping the curtains closed to block the sun during the day.
The main road outside was very noisy so we could not open the windows to cool down.
We would recommend the hotel but definitely not a front room. What a shame!
Staff very good food good and plenty indoor pool bonus .
Bathroom needs updating bad mould under bath tap small radiator covered in rust shower holder broken. In bedroom they don't hoover in your stay and we don't think it was done before we arrived but bed sheets were clean but mattress had two bad stains no mattress cover only blanket.

The shutters on the window in my room still let in light so sleep was disturbed once it became bright in the morning.
Showers ran cold which needed looking at but were then ok.
We enjoyed the lovely, peaceful surroundings,the wonderful service at breakfast and dinner and the helpful staff. The quality of the food at dinner was excellent, as was the breakfast choice. We had a very pretty room with a very comfortable bed.
Unfortunately it was extremely hot when we were there and our room faced west on a fairly busy road,so the nights were very warm,as we couldn't open the windows. If it hadn't been as hot, the room would have been perfect.
We loved how quaint and old school it was, the delicious food, the friendly helpful staff and the lovely garden x
The room was very hot and even though the hotel provided a fan it was still extremely hot while the sun was on it.. it did cool down later though.. next time i will bring my big as everything else was AMAZING x

I liked how cosy it was inside the room and I had my room opposite beautiful flowery garden.

The food was very good, particularly the breakfast. Lots of choice
Lack of communication between staff meant that repairs weren't completed until our last day. Stained towel, dirty cups, dirty glass, torn net curtain, broken light in bathroom, toilet seat not fastened down. Lawn in garden area not looked after. I booked a table in the restaurant by email before our stay. Advised that it was our 45th anniversary. Not one member of staff wished us Happy Anniversary!

Room smelt stale, which didn't go when we opened the windows, turned out to be the bedding but too late in the day to complain unfortunately!
Breakfast was traditional English option, with full works! It was fresh and tasted great. The room and bathroom was spacious, light, and we could open the windows for air, so circulation was good. The bed was very comfortable.
Just the sometimes creaky floor boards, but only because I was worried about disturbing other guests, as we did go to bed late after being out for the evening.
