Pros:

The full Cumbrian Breakfast was excellent albeit that the sausage was a little under browned for my liking. The evening meal I had was pretty good.

The room was fine. The bathroom was modern and clean, with a good shower.

The staff were friendly.

Of course the main reason to stay here is the stunning location - only a few minutes walk from Buttermere.

Cons:

The hotel seemed a little tired. The bar was very characterless - not the cosy environment I had hoped for. Thinking about it, I guess it's a hiker friendly, muddy boots, dog friendly environment.

The breakfast buffet was pretty poor in my opinion - very basic.

Fantastic break with our dog in idyllic surroundings .
Pros:

Stunning location .. perfect base for endless walks ..excellent staff.. very hearty breakfasts .. welcomed dogs

Cons:

Very sad to say we ate at neighbouring pub in evening because of traditional warm atmosphere and fab pub grub .. the dining room at our hotel is quite bland slightly chilly and lighting very bright not very welcoming .. also very quiet . Needs a bit of a re think as food we did eat first night there very good.

Perfect Buttermere hotel.
Pros:

Perfect location, stunning views and excellent for the Buttermere Circular.

Breakfast was excellent and food from the pub was large portioned.

Pros:

Me & my partner had a wonderful stay with our dog. We were made to feel very welcome the second we walked in. The staff were all so friendly and made our stay that extra special. The food was really good, an excellent choice at breakfast. Even our dog Lyla had sausages brought out for her. The location was exceptional. We had a stunning view of the lake and mountains from our bedroom window. We will most definitely stay at buttermere court again. 10/10
