A thoroughly enjoyable experience
Pros:

The location is perfect for visiting the sites in the National park and Hadrian's Wall l. The hotel retains it's charm. The staff are all exceptional, genuinely friendly and always ready to help. They are clearly committed to their work, including the young members of staff. The food was delicious, with lots of variety, consistently to the same high standard.

Cons:

It is a real shame that the swimming pool is not more easily accessible. The vertical ladder access made it impossible for me to use.

Wonderful, can't wait to go back
Pros:

Everything, Food was lovely and very good value, staff were great (Abigail in the office was super nice and helpful), room was lovely, location perfect. Will be going back.

Really enjoyed it
Pros:

Ok it’s a tired hotel - but I loved my stay there it was friendly - great value 2 course dinner - lovely staff - honestly accept it’s run down realise that before you get there and have a great time - I had the pool to myself too

Tired worn out carpets etc

Pros:

Breakfast options were pleasingly varied with fresh fruit available together with healthy options and the usual full english

Friendly, comfortable and welcoming
Pros:

Stayed at the hotel a few times before and it was just as comfortable and friendly as I remembered.

Cons:

Feels a little tired in places, but this actually adds to the atmosphere, so not a big problem

Good base for exploring the Cheviots and rural areas Northumberland.
Pros:

Great location in rural Northumberland. Food of good quality and beds very comfortable.

Cons:

Facilities quite dated . The Sauna not working and pool times needed to be booked in advance. Staff whilst pleasant overall were less than accommodating at times ( I asked if the kitchen could make me an omelette one morning for a change and was told “ that’s not on the menu “ )

Great hotel
Pros:

Great location, helpful, friendly staff. Spotlessly clean room. Food great. Near to Kielder, Bird of prey centre and Hexham.lots of walks nearby. Hotel has pool and sauna. Parking on site with overflow carpark opposite hotel.

Cons:

Nothing I didn't like.

Great comfortable and cozy, well run hotel and lovely welcoming and helpful staff.
Pros:

The staff were so warm and welcoming. Nothing was a ever bother to them they were happy to help. The hotel was very clean and felt well run. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a view down to the river. Food was of a great standard both in the bar menu and the restaurant. Breakfast had good choices and was very tasty. We would definitely return to this hotel. Big thanks to all who work there.

Swimming pool and changing area felt a little tired.

Het was een wat gedateerde kamer, sober, terwijl het meer dan 200 euro per nacht kost. We moeten vroeg weg en konden daarom niet ontbijten, kregen in plaats daarvan een pakketje mee met zompig wit brood, echt niet lekker.
