Arrived at 11.30pm and was quickly checked in and directed to my room, very nice cheerful chap on reception

Could do better. Shame.
Pros:

The lady in the bar was very approachable and friendly / a credit to the hotel.
The king size bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

The windows in the bathroom wouldn’t close completely.
I had to wedge towels and toilet roll in the sides to stop the air and insects from coming in.
Plus they were dirty and rusty.
I’ve never in all my years ever had this before.

Disappointed with the hotel’s attitude to guests comfort and safety

Its location was convenient, room clean and a good size. Nice towels

Cons:

The room was exceptionally hot - can’t be helped in a heatwave but the hotel could not supply a fan. After the weeks of hot weather, I feel the hotel should be aware that their rooms are hot and should have invested in fans. They also do not supply bottled water. I told at reception that this was due to health and safety! That is rubbish, it is more of a health and safety issue for guests to be left in the heat without water. I find this comment about not supplying bottled water ridiculous and extremely patronising. This response shows that the hotel do not put their guests comfort as a priority. Overheating can lead to serious medical issues as everyone is aware.
Bathroom could do with modernising - cold water tap only ran lukewarm water

Tired, dated needing TLC. Staff were excellent
Pros:

Location was fantastic as can visit local shops, restaurants and the castle. The staff were exceptionally helpful and nothing was too much.

Cons:

The hotel is very tired looking and needs to be updated. Window lock had fallen off, no soap in the bathroom, 1 toilet roll and 1 sachet of coffee. Appreciate a heat wave cannot be predicted but no fan in the room or spare ones available.

Very good stay. If in Tonbridge I will return.
Pros:

Everything was great; on the Highstreet, one minute walk from attractions and restaurants, pubs.
Easy to find. Good price, good value.

Perfect location but hotel is dated decor wise
Pros:

Superb location and staff extremely helpful

Cons:

Rooms were very dated in decor and bathrooms could do with modernising, however the bed was extremely comfortable. Little or no coffee,/sugar left in the room. No hand soap in the bathroom which seemed bizarre

Good value for money and friendly staff in a central location with free car parking.
Pros:

Friendly staff. Easy Check-in. Good car park.

Cons:

Probably my fault as I came down to breakfast exactly at 06.30, when they start serving and not all the breakfast was ready. The staff were helpful, though.

Very disappointed. Not made aware of change in ownership prior to visit which totally impacted my experience. No bar service, not clean, shower didn't work - was a trickle and couldn't regulate temperature, room not made up during entire stay and place was very dated. Pictures on booking.com were very misleading
