We stayed in both the John Wycherley and the Lord Derby rooms and the later has a bath tube and a larger room recommende

All you need for a couple of nights stay at a very reasonable price.
Pros:

Great location for our trip to this area as just off motorway. Staying in an older characterful property was great. The room decor was modern and smart and the also has been renovated in a style which harks back to Victorian times but with a modern twist. With just three rooms in a secure upper floor it felt very safe. Staff were lovely. We ate in the pub both nights. Despite being on main road it was quiet.

Great rooms but don’t necessarily expect to be fed.
Pros:

Comfortable room, very well equipped. Friendly staff.

Cons:

No food available after 7pm, I arrived 7.40, despite it advertising food until 8. They only serve breakfast at weekends!! I asked if I could at least get a coffee and was told no coffee served before midday

Pros:

Quiet room, easy parking, very clean. Good-sized bathroom.

Cons:

Room was dark . Didn't appreciate the knock on the door at 9:55, telling us it was time to check out. Might want to consider an 11 a.m. check-out.

Really welcoming, comfortable hotel with a nice bar and great pies!
Pros:

On arrival the staff where helpful, especially the female manager who was very hospitable and cheerful. Our 3 rooms were all very large, clean and very comfortable. We loved their classic, contemporary interior scheme. We had well priced drinks sitting outside and delicious pies for dinner in the bar.

Cons:

As this was a business trip we needed to leave very early so we were too early for breakfast.
