Excellent location generally speaking, and especially for the famous Cova–Paúl trail. Every morning you wake up to stunning views over the valley.
If you visit during the festivities of Dia de Santo António (13th June), which I truly loved, you can even experience the procession passing right in front of the hotel. A unique and authentic cultural experience.
Getting around is easy without a car. You can take a coletivo/aluguer for around 70 escudos to Pombas, and from there connect to Ribeira Grande, Ponta do Sol, Porto Novo, and other areas. To reach Cova or Cruzinha, a taxi is usually needed, but the hotel is very helpful in arranging anything you need.
The hospitality is outstanding — warm, kind, and always ready to help. It is a perfect example of what Cape Verdeans call morabeza, the spirit of welcoming and kindness, especially from Georgette, who was the most warm-hearted.
I stayed in the shared room at Hotel Château Georgette. Most nights I had the room to myself, and when shared it was with very friendly Cape Verdeans from São Vicente, which made the experience even more special.
The coffee was really good.
Also highly recommended: the Georgette apartment in Mindelo if you are spending time on São Vicente.

La struttura si trova nella Valle Do Paul, una delle zone più belle di Santo Antão, ed in una posizione strategica per qualunque escursione si voglia fare.
La struttura è nuova, moderna e pulita.
La ragazza dello staff è una persona squisita e super disponibile.
Il ristorante che si trova nell’hotel è il più buono che abbiamo provato sull’isola.
Consigliamo molto questo alloggio.

Consiglieremmo solamente il servizio di lavanderia in caso di emergenza in quanto è parecchio caro per gli standard europei.
A true gem in Cape Verde
Très chaleureux, l’hôtel est situé dans un endroit exceptionnel de l’ile.
Pas d’eau chaude, mais il y avait des travaux de maintenance, l’eau chaude est revenue le soir, mais un trop tard pour notre douche…
Un hotel espectacular, para encontrar la paz. El personal muy atento.

Well designed space with comfort in mind, staff couldn't be any helpful, whatever you need they'll manage. I injured my legs walking, one of the staff saw me limping and gave me some cream to help.
Hot water was very temperamental, had a couple of cold showers but you're in a remote area so wasn't surprised by this.
Hotel had amazing view both from the room and from the terrace where we had breakfast. In general the room was nicely furnished and was very spacious. There is not much choice in hotel in Paul so it was a good one in terms of location.
A big plus for a bath with a view and good water pressure and its temperature, although it happened twice there was cold water and no water at all, which is normal on the island anyway.
Breakfast was tasty but the same every day, which is also standard on the island.
- there was a mold on the ceiling and in the shower
- restaurant food was very average, not worth its price (we ordered grilled fish (too salty), catchupa and waited 1 hour, a second chance was grilled chicken and a burger), we recommend different places on the island to eat
- 0 isolation, we could hear all the noise from the restaurant
- smell of the kitchen in all the hotel, also in the room
- there was an incident when we came back after 10 pm and the entrance code was changed and we had to wait 30 min for someone to hear our knocking
Friendly atmosphere and civilized conditions and very good food from a well organized kitchen. All around a good stay.
