A perfect place to stay for a family of four on an overnight stop heading south from England.
Pros:

The hotel is ideally located on the main square, with plenty of restaurant and bar options on the doorstep. The staff were very friendly and patient with my quite rubbish French speaking! The room we stayed in was a great size for a family of four including two children aged 12 and 16, lots of space and storage. The large en-suite bathroom had a bath with a handheld shower, which was perfect for us. It is a beautiful town and we could easily park on the square right outside the hotel despite the summer festival being on.

Cons:

Minor quibbles, but I do like a stand-up shower, there was no air conditioning but a room fan was provided. It would have been great if there was another fan (one for each bed) and a kettle in the room.

Hôtel confortable et personnel très gentil. Manque de climatisation par temps chaud.
Pros:

L’emplacement est parfait et trouver une grande chambre familiale est appréciable.

Cons:

Il faisait très chaud dans l’hôtel et nous n’avons pas pu beaucoup ventiler le soir car la chambre donnait sur une place avec pleins de bars bruyants. Il faudrait équiper les chambres en climatisation.

Koselig sted med hyggelige ansatte som var hjelpsomme. Svært sentralt.
Pros:

Veldig hyggelig sted og ansatte. Bra lokasjon og parkeringsplass rett ved, på kommunal plass.

Cons:

Manglet aircondition. Det var varmt når vi var der, så det hadde vært fint å ha. Dem hadde satt inn en vifte som hjalp litt.

Enjoyable, one night stopover in Chalons with the bonus of the music festival outside the hotel
Pros:

Great, small, quaint, independent (I think) hotel in a fantastic location.
Very friendly staff.

Cons:

They were a bit too sparing on the loo roll!
