Pros:

Staff were so friendly and helpful. They really seemed to work hard and care. Room was perfect for our needs and we got a great sleep. Breakfast and dinner was a standard above what I was expecting. Drinks on offer were also above expectation. Location is beautiful.

As ever in the past, we had a comfortable, refreshing stay

The location is 10 out of 10 but the hotel is 7 out of 10, and a little over priced

Staff very friendly and efficient

Cons:

Room too hot, radiator on when temp outside was 24/25, Water pressure quite low, My room was above the dining room which had piped music most of the time, a live harpist one evening , the sound resonated into my room,

A magical 30th birthday stay
Pros:

It is charming. There is so much history to the building. The team were excellent. So welcoming and helpful. The food exceptional. I couldn’t have asked for more to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends.

Lovely hotel in great position on the Moor
Pros:

Old fashioned hotel with good breakfast and large rooms.

Cons:

Hate it when check in is rigid to 3pm. Half the day gone and don’t expect all rooms are ready exactly at 3pm. Hotels that offer earlier check in at a fee are much easier when travelling.

The receptionist was excellent - she went the extra mile to help us in our questions about Dartmoor. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
