A life saver after a ferry cancellation emergency and an unexpected pleasure
Pros:

4 friends booked in an emergency after the ferries were cancelled. We got lucky with price and availability. Lovely old fashioned hotel with real character, stunning views across the harbour, great dinner and breakfast (with excellent vegan options)

Cons:

All the staff were lovely with one bizarrely grumpy exception. Maybe just having a bad day.
As far as I could tell there were no lifts from the ground to 3rd floor. Not a problem for us but not ideal for less mobile people

Very pleasant
Pros:

Beautiful view from this historic property, built in 1887 if I remember correctly. This is definitely an older property showing some age; however the room was comfortable and view was great. The property has character and history. Good shower. Reserve a table at their restaurant with a front window view of Tobermory harbor and enjoy some local muscles. Good self-serve breakfast. Small parking lot at hotel is available.

Cons:

Door to room was difficult to open from inside beacause door and handle were so old.

Pros:

Location is obviously stunning! We were running behind due to a rental car snafu and staff stayed late at the front desk to still assist with check-in. Rooms were comfortable and they offered tons of options for breakfast!

The location of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The view from the room was stunning and the facilities were excellent.

Pros:

Perfect location. An iconic Victorian resort hotel with panoramic views out to Tobermory and the Sound of Mull. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Handy car parking.

Cons:

The hotel has no lift so we carried our heavy suitcases up (in our case) three flights of stairs. We didn't ask the hotel staff to help us because there were not many of them around and they were busy. Perhaps we could have done though.

Some good staff

Cons:

Rooms not all very warm and fairly basic . We had a problem with our room but one helpful receptionist resolved it

Pros:

Great location, lovely hotel and the staff were all welcoming and friendly

Cons:

The price.. I had a budget room which still cost £550 for 2 nights. Very expensive for what you get

A pleasant stay but uneven quality.
Pros:

Excellent location. Nice ambience to the property. Good quality food. Great conservatory. Room cleaning was well done.

Cons:

Only one bedside table. Quality of service (restaurant and front desk) was friendly but very erratic - occasionally poor. The individuals didn’t work as a team and lacked experience.

Pros:

Help from reception and wonderful service and food .we had tyre trouble and reception was so kind he even kept a parking space for us and booked late dinner....
