It was great!
Pros:

The rooms were great, breakfast was very nice. Staff was friendly. I just wish they had told us they offered bag lunches for boat rides. We didn't know and had to go to the store and figure it out. It would have been nice to know.

Cons:

See above.

Stunning
Pros:

It was ‘the property’ to stay in Tobermory.
Its grandeur.
The Conservatory - the views were stunning.
The rooms - we had a Suite - outstanding.

Cons:

Its a very very steep hill.
No lift and we were originally put on the 2nd floor. But were moved straight away.
I originally booked a Terrace Room with kitchenette (that suited us better), emailed the Reception and said I was being offered Upgrades and, as it was for my 60th, wanted it to be special. Valerie originally answered my query which included was there a lift, yes to the Terrace rooms, not to the rest of the Hotel but the view from the Master suite was superb. It was a much better room. We deliberated for a while as it was a lot of money (Valerie originally said, if you book direct, its cheaper) and I think things got lost in translation as we upgraded and then were put on the 2nd Floor. Altho moved straight away when we asked if there was anything on the 1st. Wish we’d stayed with the Terrace suite, a) for the lift and b) for the kitchenette. No fridge in the rooms.

Pros:

Lovely hotel, nice room, recently upgraded bathroom. Great views. Nice eating area and beautiful terrace outside for drinks. The Asian lady on the desk was lovely, very friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

4pm check in
Lots of stairs, no lift
Rusty radiators which wouldn't take much to sort.

Great Hotel our favourite in Scotland. Highly recommended.
Pros:

We had a room at the back (No. 7) this was large and very comfortable with a nice bathroom. Very quiet. The dinning room looking over the bay is fabulous and as it was not to busy in the hotel we always had a window seat to fully enjoy the view.
All the meals were very good but our favourite was the Crab Linguine. The mussels to start were also very nice. The service in the restaurant was always very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection of hot buffet and cold food was excellent.

Cons:

Driving up the hill and round the tight bend a little bit of a challenge.

Enjoyable
Pros:

Love the location, love the traditional interior and how clean it was. The lunch was tasty. Special thanks to Maria.

Cons:

The breakfast is very basic and served as buffet- not what I would expect from that class of the hotel.
