Very nice hotel in a very interesting area.
Pros:

Comfortable room. Very good food. Very friendly staff. Montrose is a very interesting town. We saw large flocks of geese at sunset on the basin and visited the town's very interesting museum and nearby House of Dun.

Very nice hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Clean room with lovely bedding and plenty of clean towels.
Very nice seating and bar area. Breakfast was nice.

Cons:

Looks in need of a little TLC and a spruce up.
Little bit of confusion over the evening meal, firstly couldn't find a bill so the manager had to put it in , then on check out I was asked to pay for it. Luckily I had the receipt in my purse to prove it had been paid.

Restful and we achieved what we set out to do which was to observe the pink footed geese.
Pros:

Room was comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was excellent.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Breakfast on Sunday was a Buffett whereas the rest of time it was cooked to order. I can understand why they had a Buffett as they were catering for a wedding party. I just personally prefer cooked to order. It didn’t in any way spoil our stay.

Pros:

staff are always happy to help. food available when ever you need. far better than next door "the Links hotel" next door, who even when there is no one in the restaurant say they are fully booked (happened on numerous occasions).
