Pros:

Available parking and price

Cons:

The breakfast was basic, no healthy option available. The room was dusty and the table lamp was broken showing exposed wire. Pillows were the most uncomfortable lumpy cheap well used pillow.
Bathroom bin not emptied after last person and shower drain blocked with hair.

Ok location with free parking, good price.

Cons:

There was a mold or other indoor air quality problem related to missing or very poor air ventilation in the room. When we first entered the room we first had to open the window. The window had to stay open for the night but it still smelled bad in the morning.

Third time we have visited the Red Lion, and we will use again.
Pros:

Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room was extremely well equipped and very clean.
Easy access from Brittany ferries Portsmouth terminal, approx 6-8 minutes drive.
Fabulous breakfast menu.

Lovely room, friendly staff, we'll be back
Pros:

The room was very nicely decorated..The beds were comfortable. We couldn't fault the staff at all.. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had food on our first evening there which was very nice..
The pub is in a good location, not far from the station in Cosham. Definitely a good place for a base..We were meant to be staying in Southampton but that went very wrong..I'm so glad and grateful that The Red Lion had room for us..I wouldn't even bother looking for accommodation in Southampton again I'd just book and stay here instead. It's very easy to get to both Southampton and Portsmouth from here.
We'll definitely be back. A big thank you to all of the team.

Cons:

It was a very hot weekend, the first room had a big fan which was perfect. The second room had a small fan which didn't work very well making the room extremely hot.
But that's a very minor thing

Appreciated the staff going out of their way for us.
Pros:

Staff were absolutely fantastic and our dinner was very good. Room had everything we needed and very clean.

Cons:

Pillows needed replacing.
