Our room was great the bathroom was absolutely discusting the shower door looked like it had just been used water all over it .and pubic
hairs in the tray unacceptable. Then to top it off when we ordered breakfast we waited patiently and long story short we had been forgotten! Then my husband's breakfast was the wrong order then it got bought out again and he accepted it and then we noticed he had a poached egg and it should of been scrambled eggs! By this time my husband couldn't be bothered to eat the rest of his breakfast.
Location was OK
The first evening meal was poor, we complained.
The room had not been maintained -Toilet flush & shower needed attention. Bedside lamp was falling apart.
Last breakfast inedible and returned to the kitchen.
Overall the hotel needed more maintenence and the kitchen staff needed to up their skills.
Other staff were helpful and friendly, but we would not stay there again.
Quiet location but easy access to London
Nothing to dislike
Lots of rooms in the large modern extention at the rear of the pub. Parking was OK, seemed enough spaces but not sure how full the hotel was. Liked the large shower in the bathroom. Decor in the room was good. Breakfast was good in the old Inn. Location was good, close to main road but on a relatively quite street.
There could have been more info on finding the car park supplied with the booking details, I sort of stumbled on it by assuming it was somewhere around the back of the original pub. Wi-Fi was OK but would be better if it was a secure system rather than open.
A beautiful character pub with corporate rooms...
Breakfast, for us personally, the cooked breakfast, most of the ingredients have either been kept in an oven or under a heat lamp, the only fresh part was the egg....the bacon you couldn't cut you could just snap it, ashame...
