We liked our room, the decor, the powerful shower and the comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our cooked breakfast was tasty and quite substantial. The sitting area outside was very pleasant and spacious.
The atmosphere in our room was stuffy and lacked good ventilation owing to the fact that the window opening was very restricted. As we were leaving the staff explained that it was for safety reasons and we could have asked to have the restriction removed but by then it was too late.

Booking .com messed up terribly with allocating breakfast that was paid for. It was corrected but for some of our party it was too late as rhey has already paid in addition
We didn’t realise we were not staying in the pub
No ventilation in the bedroom on the ground floor
I felt ill all day after my overnight stay in this hotel due to lack of ventilation
The design of the windows is not fit for purpose with guest safety and health and safety and should be externally and independently inspected by professionals qualified to do so to effect change as this point clearly not understood by the company who owns it.
No attention to appropriate ventilation in the bedroom

Staff were amazingly efficient ans couldnt do enough for us
Booking .com made an absolute hash of including breakfast which was rather embarrassing. A double room and only one breakfast was included. Thankfully thw hotel phoned booking. Com and resolved but after we had already paid !
