Pros:

Absolutely stunning property. The room was inviting and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the Borgie and the food was amazing. Loved the little bar and running outside with our bartender to look at deer in the field was awesome!

Nice view from room window
Pros:

Nice view from room window. Comfortable bed. Lovely decoration. Friendly chat with other guests at the fireplace after dinner.

Cons:

Not very welcoming: Via the booking-chat, and at least 10 days before our visit, I had reserved a table for dinner at 7:30 p.m. which was also confirmed by the host. But this had not been noted in the planning book. Upon our arrival, then, we were asked if we would like to have dinner, and the host suggested "slots" for the time, explaining (literally so): "Unfortunately I have a group of 8 ***ans [name of a country] at 7:30". I asked, "why 'unfortunately', isn't it nice to have good business?" He replied, "yes, but it's so much work!" That being said, we chose the offered 7:15 slot. We came exactly at the assigned time, but the table we had agreed should be reserved for us had been taken by other guests. I was made to explain why I hadn't sat down at the designated table right away. Well, obviously we had wanted to stick to the assigned time and since it was only 6:45 when we talked, we took a beer to the garden to spend the time there. The host lady did her best to make up for this hiccup.

Since Borgie Lodge is in a really remote location, one doesn't have much choice for dinner, this was the reason I had looked in time for a reliable reservation.

A Great Place. Wonderful people
Pros:

This is another wonderful friendly family run hotel. A super location just off the north coast road and a short way from a beautiful beach. Easy quiet parking for a car or motorbikes. We booked late so had the twin room with external bathroom which was fine. Food was lovely and everyone involved in running this place is fantastic.
