Convenient location and clean, spacious room at a fair price
Pros:

I arrived late due to travel delays, but had called ahead and was fortunate that the bar where you check in was open late that evening. I'm not sure how I would have checked in if they had been closed -- tho I did see a lock box by one door, so I would guess they have a provision for that. I appreciated that the staff were freindly and very accomodating in all encounters.
Room was large and clean and the shower was great.
Convenient location is just a short walk into town, or the bus stops right in front of the Inn.
Don't miss the Cheesy Toastie Shack right around the corner at the beach.

Cons:

My room decor was a bit tired. Bed was very firm and pillows were lumpy. Nothing horrible, but could have been better. Temp in room was very warm as it was during the July heat wave, but they had a fan running which helped a lot.
Breakfast was not available, but there was a bakery near by.

A nice room in a good location
Pros:

Location was good and the room was large. A bit noisy and it was relatively expensive, however it was graduation time and St Andrews was full. Handy to have the pub next door.

Clean, but noisy
Pros:

The room itself was very clean and there was instant coffee available.

Cons:

Couldn’t find a more central hotel, so this was about a 15-20 minute walk from town central. It was a bit warm, but we couldn’t sleep with our windows open because of the loud noise of the pub below and people smoking outside. It wasn’t super clear on the booking that this was attached to a pub, so the noise and doors slamming until quite late was a surprise.

I wish they offered breakfast.

Suited us for the weekend break
Pros:

Ideal base to explore St Andrews/ golf experience/ surrounding areas of interest. Room tidy clean, no breakfast plenty of eateries/cafes on the way to town, Had evening meal there -delicious and local pint went down well. The starters we ordered all and renamed Scottish tapas 😄
Old building so floors a little uneven but added to character. Got a warm welcome,Parking outside the pub (free) budget supermarket a short drive away and petrol.

Cons:

Shame there weren't more punters but many came for the good priced food, had a few locals and live music entertainment

The location is perfect - right by East Sands and just a short 10 min walk to the town centre! Our room was cozy and clean. It was the ideal room at an ideal price!

Mediocre at best.
Pros:

Location was pretty good. 10 minute walk to town center. 15 min to Old Course. At first rooms appeared comfortable, given that we had the family rooms so had plenty of space. Also the bathrooms were upgraded and towels were fluffy.

Cons:

The pub attached is very loud. Karaoke until 1 am so no sleep. Also, bed as mediocre and only one light on one side of bed. Not the greatest value for the money.
