Not a Premier Inn style room but met all our needs.
Pros:

Basic but lovely. Staff were excellent and the location was perfect.

Cons:

Bathrooms were basic and, being above a pub, there was a bit of noise from downstairs but it didn’t affect our sleep.

Clean and well maintained but a couple of niggles.
Pros:

The accommodation was secure and only accessible with a key pad. Also there is a separate access to enter the accommodation so no requirement to go through the pub if you dont want to. The decor was very good and everything was clean and well maintained. Even though the bathroom isnt ensuite there were actually 4 seperate bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink which all locked for privacy. WiFi, access and booking out instructions good and there was a guest pack in the room. The room was basic but it was very clean and well maintained, as was the whole pub to be honest.

Cons:

Generally the location was pleasant and there were no major concerns.
I did have a couple of niggles that I feel I need to feed back and in turn it does reduce the level of praise I can give them slightly.
These are.
The staff didnt seem overly friendly on my arrival and the chap who booked me in did make me feel a bit unwelcome.
The smart TV that was mentioned on the website as a major feature in the room had no channels at all. Every channel I tried came up with a blue screen and no signal. Also the remote didnt work very well so I struggled to navigate the through the TV aswell.
The bed was comfortable but didnt seem very stable and the headboard banged into the wall everything I moved position.
Even though the bathrooms were smart they didnt appear to have hot water in the taps located in the sink. This made my morning shave a little bit unpleasant having to use freezing cold water.
There was a mini fridge in the room which I did put my lunch in for the next day. On opening it the fridge wasnt even cold and actually more like a cupboard than a fridge.
To enter the accommodation you had to go through the smoking area which I didn't feel was that pleasant especially on a friday and Saturday night when the area was full of pub goers under the influence of alcohol.
The key pad to the accommodation was in full view of everyone else in that area which made it feel a little less secure with the fact that anyone could potentially see the numbers you entered over your shoulder.

Pros:

Friendly welcome and help with my bag. Bed was clean and comfortable. The floor in the room was a bit uneven but its an old building.

Cons:

The stairs to the rooms were quite steep and the tap in the toilet area needs attention as you get very little water from it. Maybe needs a de-scale.
