Intriguing and characterful place to stay.
Pros:

Absolutely amazing and unique to have a menhir in the building! And in the wall of our bedroom! The whole building is fascinating and historic.
Very comfortable bed and lovely furnishings.
The cooked part of breakfast was very good.
Bathroom was tiny but functioned well.
Authentic and quiet village setting.

Cons:

Very unusual at this price level to find only PG tips tea bags and instant Nescafé in the room!
Ditto the cereal in little packets. (But as stated above, the cooked breakfast was very good.)

Comfortable sray in historic country pub
Pros:

Lovely to stay in such an historic property. Very comfortable. Good service and food. Exceptional barman - very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

A few exceptionally loud locals having a drink was a bit annoying for the resident diners. Would therefore recommend eating in the snug room next door

Go and enjoy your stay. Have a beer with Simon and and a chat at the bar with Lyn and the locals.
Pros:

It’s a proper pub with proper owners. Not a faceless chain.

Cons:

Nothing.
