Definitely recommend
Pros:

Fantastic location for all the local hikes and things to do. The breakfast provided was absolutely brilliant, cooked fresh on demand and the sausages were delicious. A little spooky right next the graveyard but cool to stay in such an old property, the views from our room were just fantastic.

Pros:

Breakfast was very good. The bar had a good atmosphere. Good sized room and comfortable bed. Location is great, both the town of Castleton itself, and close proximity to other places in the Peak District

Cons:

Parking was OK, the dedicated car park was full so had to use street parking.

Overall, a nice friendly pub suitable for an overnight stay in good walking country.
Pros:

I would come here just for the included full English breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic and a big plus as well as being value for money.

Cons:

Décor in the rooms was very dated and old-fashioned, but in keeping with the whole character of the pub, but not a fan of the dark wood panelling. Storage in the rooms very limited, could not work out how to open the dresser doors and the clothes hanging space was open. Rooms were cold but the weather outside was also unseasonably cold and wet. There was a few maintenance issues with light bulbs not working and the electric shower was a bit weak and on the top floor the hot water for the basin took ages to arrive.

Castleton ist einfach ein toller Ort, das Essen im Nags Head ist einfach umwerfend, die Gegend ein Traum für Naturliebhaber und Wanderer.
Das Zimmer war überraschend groß und das Bad modern.
Sensationelles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Cons:

Es ist kein Sternehotel, es ist ein urtümlicher Pub, das sollte man bedenken.

Pros:

So, booking made for the room to be twin occupancy, hotel had no mention on booking. But the room had the sofa bed, when mentioned this was actioned immediately. Cannot fault FANTASTIC service.
