We loved the ‘old English’ atmosphere and furnishings, and the fabulous exterior of the hotel, in such a central position in the town. The room was comfortable and spacious, and breakfast was one of the most comprehensive and delicious we have ever had!
The bathroom was rather small, and the hand basin in particular was too compact.
From the minute you enter Reception you are made to feel welcome, lovely staff, extremely helpful and polite. The rooms are not large but extremely comfortable with all extras such as tea/coffee, iron, hair dryer etc. The bar is very well stocked with great staff and the fabulous McMullens draught beer. Breakfast is superb, great choices and The Signature ( full English) is outstanding. Overall the Salisbury is a Must Stay hotel.
Only issue of concern is the very small bathroom with shower but it does have all the essentials required.
So me and my wife have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions travelling for Merseyside over the yrs and don't think we would stay anywhere else,the staff are very friendly the food is beautiful and plentiful, the ambience is stunning for the period of the building so relaxing the rooms are beautifully made up ,honestly looking forward to are next trip away
The only issue would say is the A/C in our room was little loud
But should have just got out of bed and turned it off

The room would benefit from a little bit of a freshen up but all in all it was fantastic value for money. Would definitely return.
