A lovely find, we will return.
Pros:

The hotel was lovely and comfortable, our room was clearly recently decorated and spotlessly clean. The little touches matter, really nice loo roll (!), a genuine welcome to us and our dog and a menu that offered lots of choice and good value food. We hadn't realised what a wonderful spot for walking the hotel is in, so will definitely return for longer. We needed a comparatively early start on the Sunday so really appreciated the fact that breakfast was served from 8am.

Cons:

Can't think of anything

Great location and staff
Pros:

Location is beautiful. The staff are friendly, and helpful during breakfast and dinner. Lots of ales but staff not experts. A good variety of wines compliment the meals available.
Breakfast in a pleasant well lit room, great choice of cooked food.

Cons:

Room 102 is a bit dark, I was not crazy about the decor, no views apart from car park. Bathroom is well appointed a lovely big bath, nice bubble bath, also big walk in shower. Mirror over basin a bit corroded, toilet flush is difficult ( I found continually pressing it eventually got it to go), the design doesn't allow for easy access for maintenance, so I suspect that won't be fixed any time soon.

Wouldn’t return
Pros:

Nice bedroom and bathroom. Good service from staff.

Cons:

Food, evening meal well below par. Sunday roast quantity over quality. Breakfast, sign of a bad chef who sends out a hard boiled poached egg.
Horrendous re-routing by car to get to and from the hotel.
