location and price and the coffee in room, big free car park and outside patio area
have stayed a few times before but this time cleaning was not so good, we had family over for dinner last evening, duck stater just seemed to be a few small pieces off overcooked/fried skin, I had to wait a few minutes for my staek when mains arrived so everyone started before I got mine but was one of the toughest steaks I have ever had, medium rare but absolutely no juice/dry - shame as last time we had a table of 8 and food was excellent and a great stay
The place was clean and semi comfortable. Staff were polite
The shower had little water pressure, so that wasn't a good experience.
Fenton beds had springs poping out so uncomfortable for the kids.
Room was offered a clean on the first day but was not needed, then it was not touched again till the last day.
As for the food, well going on what we received for breakfast, I wouldn't even think about lunch or dinner.
If the breakfast wasn't included in the price and I had to pay off it separately, I would have complained every single day and even complained to head office as it was appalling
Love this hotel , it so lovely to sit and have a drink or a bit to eat , only 6 mins drive away from guisborough , room clean and comfy and good price
