Probably one of the best locations and hotels in Bernkastel
Pros:

The hotel is very easy to find alongside the river and road into Bernkastel. It was possible to reserve a car parking space and walk into the centre of the town. The room was very modern, comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the Mosel river.

Overal kortbij, comfortabele kamer.
Kamer was lichtrijk en ruim.ook vrij ruime badkamer.
Gezellige ontbijtruimte met meer dan genoeg keuze bij het ontbijtbuffet.

Cons:

Onze kamer lag aan de straatkant dus beetje overlast van het verkeer.

Quaint and comfortable with a gorgeous view!
Pros:

Hotel Bären is located excellently to access the old town (Bernkastel) by foot, and the new town (Kues) but foot also, just over the bridge. The hotel is quaint and comfortable with the Kettermann family, and their lovely staff, taking utmost care of their guests to ensure a pleasant stay, including an app full of helpful tips and recommendations to experience what Bernkastel-Kues has to offer. Beautiful views of the Mosel from our room, the breakfast was delicious and they arranged fresh gluten free bread rolls for me daily which was just incredible. I would definitely stay again.

Super vriendelijk team, helaas minpunten voor de kamer
Pros:

Vriendelijk personeel, zeer behulpzaam! Hun service heb ik enorm gewaardeerd.
Ontbijt was goed genoeg.

Cons:

Bij extreme hitte voorzien van een koelkast in de kamer! Op vele plaatsen is een standaardkamer met frigo voorzien en zeker bij extreme hitte gevuld met water.

De koelkast op gelijksvloers werkt enkel met een jeton. In de avond onmogelijk om deze nog aan te kopen.

Ze adviseren om best geen raam open te zetten door de muggen, maar met extreme hitte, is een investering in het hotel wel aangewezen. Jammer genoeg hangt er een muffe geur in de wandelgangen en de kamer. Het heeft de eerste nacht de nachtrust gekost. De vriendelijk- en behulpzaamheid van het personeel is een groot pluspunt.

Afstandelijk, weinig inlevend en niet geschikt voor senioren

Uiteindelijk het balkon op de begane vloe- etage , na veel aandrang verkregen.
(Hogere gelegen kamers zijn alleen via zeer steile trap bereikbaar en hebben een flut balkonnetje).
