Un hotel incroyable au sein de la Citadelle, vaut absolument le détour !
Pros:

Quelle belle surprise ! L'établissement, situé dans la Citadelle, a un restaurant exceptionnel avec une vue sur la Gironde et ses îles magnifique. Le staff est ultra sympa et professionnel. Les cocktails sont délicieux ainsi que la nourriture. La piscine chauffée est agréable et surtout le cadre fait voyager ! Qui aurait cru qu'un lieu pareil existait en Gironde ! La chambre était propre, spacieuse et silencieuse.

Cons:

Le petit déjeuner était peut être le seul point négatif que nous avons trouvé. Nous étions aussi arrivés tard donc il était surement moins fourni qu'en début de service.

A fine character hotel in a in a superb location offering excellent food
Pros:

This was our second visit as we were so impressed with it the first time. Located in an old castle, the views across the estuary are superb. We had an excellent dinner on the patio after spending the afternoon around the pool. Staff are very friendly and the place is operated at a very high standard. We will return soon.

Pros:

Het ontbijt , het uitzicht , de omgeving , het personeel was heel vriendelijk . Het zwembad, bediening aan het zwembad. Het eten in het restaurant was heel lekker. De hygiene was ook goed.

Cons:

wij lagen in de kamers aan het zwembad. Deze zijn verouderd en zijn aan vernieuwing toe.

Lovely location, superb restaurant, spoilt by parking issues

Cons:

We have stayed many times and secure parking is important. There was an event that meant we couldn’t park at the hotel so had to leave the car in town. The hotel provided shuttle after we contacted them but it was very stressful trying to arrange it. We should have been informed there was no access to parking before we arrived

Notre soirée, par ailleurs très agréable, a été quelque peu gâchée par un serveur qui, à notre avis, s'est montré trop critique. Il s'est plaint que nous l'ayons appelé à notre table en levant la main après avoir attendu plus de dix minutes sans être servis. Chez nous, le client est roi… Ici, à Blaye, on avait l'impression que le restaurant et le service étaient la priorité absolue. Cela a quelque peu gâché l'ambiance de ce qui aurait été une charmante soirée. Le serveur ne nous a laissé aucune possibilité d'expliquer ce que l'on ressentait ni comment on connaissait les règles de conduite dans un restaurant. Nous passons nos vacances en France chaque été depuis plus de 40 ans, mais nous n'avons jamais eu une experience comme celle-ci a Blaye avec le personnel,...nous sommes restés assis là, avec un sentiment proche de la honte. Il existe d'autres façons de faire de la diplomatie, monsieur.....

Fabulous stay, gorgeous views and friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

The location was so unique, we really liked the views and the citadel. The staff were super helpful and we enjoyed a bottle of wine on the terrace.
Breakfast was very good too, we loved the set up.
