Les conseils touristiques des villages à visiter nous ont été précieux

C’est un endroit bucolique, charmant, bien placé avec un accès facile tout en étant calme. Et la piscine et ses aménagements sont vraiment très agréables.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful — honestly, the best place we have ever stayed! Now we completely understand all those reviews saying that the moment you leave, you already want to come back. It’s absolutely true!

The building itself is beautiful and historic, with that incredible, authentic Provençal charm. The rooms are lovely, spacious, and cleaned every day. They also have air conditioning, although we hardly needed to use it even when it was 37°C outside — the thick walls of this beautiful old house keep the rooms naturally and pleasantly cool.

Outside, there is a gorgeous terrace with tables where you can enjoy an evening apéritif (highly recommended!), as well as a lovely garden and a picnic area.

And the swimming pool… absolutely stunning! You can relax there listening to the cicadas every day, with a beautiful view of the house. There are never too many guests, which creates a wonderfully peaceful and intimate atmosphere — something you simply cannot experience in a large hotel.

We also HIGHLY recommend the breakfasts — quite possibly the best breakfasts we have ever had! Fresh bread, an incredible selection of homemade jams (you absolutely have to try the tomato jam — unbelievably good!), local cheeses and cold cuts, homemade cakes and pastries, fresh fruit, delicious coffee and juices. Seriously, you will become obsessed with these breakfasts!

But what makes this place truly special is the family who runs it. They are absolutely wonderful — warm, kind, welcoming and full of humour. After just a short while, you feel as though you have known them forever.

A huge thank you to Kevin and his parents for making our stay so special — and, of course, to the very important hotel manager, Lucien, who makes sure that nobody ever gets bored! 😀🐾

The nearest village is only about a 10-minute walk away, with two excellent restaurants, so the location is perfect as well.

We left a little piece of our hearts here and already know that we will come back.

Joli mas, piscine très agréable

A gem of a property! An absolutely beautiful house and grounds with a lovely pool. There is parking on site which is always a real bonus. There is no restaurant on site so you either have to walk into Mane or drive to the numerous restaurants in Forcalquier. There is no hotels position means it’s a good base for visiting beautiful mountain villages. Breakfast was continental and extra and the coffee was plentiful!
