It was a very enjoyable stay and I was very pleased with the "no frills" accommodation.
Pros:

This hotel was new and modern, basic and functional - it was not aiming at being stylish and romantic. The bed was comfortable, the room small and air-conditioned. It had no window, but provided everything needed for a short stay in a beautiful City like Bath. It was spotlessly clean, with a neat and compact bathroom and a very good shower. Everything worked beautifully. There was a large TV screen, wall-mounted, and free Wi-Fi. I did not use the bar or eat there, but it looked relaxed and there were always people there. Excellent location for shops, restaurants and sight-seeing. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Cons:

I hope the building work will soon be completed around the entrance to the hotel. Scaffolding and canvas covering do not give a good first impression.

I loved the Z Hotel, it's clean, well-run, the rooms are small and have everything you need for a short stay, even without windows.

Very friendly and helpful staff
Nice bar & cafe area

Cons:

The bedroom we had was more like a cabin. The bed was wedged wall to wall, my husband (5”10) was too tall for the bed. The bathroom was very, very compact with frosted glass separating from the sleeping area. The bedroom was not worth the £160 we paid, despite the fantastic location.

Great reception in the heart of Bath.
Pros:

Great location in the heart of Bath. Very comfortable bed and good shower. 24 hour friendly reception.

Cons:

Rooms are small (good for what we needed) but bed was pushed up against one wall so you need to be okay with one partner climbing over the other to get to toilet etc. Did not faze us but might bother less mobile customers.

The location , whilst great for exploring Bath, is quite difficult to get to due to traffic restrictions, especially if you have heavy bags.
