Fabulous location, get a room with balcony overlooking the river. Lovely view and we saw Otters, dippers, wagtail, cormorant. Even a grass snake swimming in the nearby canal.
Lots to do close by with grade A landscape.
The hotel is full of character, clean comfortable, great staff, good food and full English breakfast or continental if you prefer. Great value given what's on offer.
The car park is free for guests but quite tricky to find and has a steep access. Best to arrive during daylight hours given the canal on one side of the driveway.
Beautiful place prime location for lovely walks
I was surprised at the location and how beautiful it was. Very quaint.
Hot breakfast and fruit good.
Packaged croissants not good
Room was nice. (33)
Evening meals rather bland.
Outside of the building by the canal is very dirty.
Looks like some fixtures and fittings could do with attention.
Parking is barely adequate and the track across the bridge is very rough.
This hotel is charming. It has its own character. The location, the views, the staff and the food were great. We stayed 1 night to celebrate my partners 60th Birthday. The suite we stayed in was out of this world. Our outdoor balcony area had amazing views of the The Chainbridge and the River Dee. The staff made us feel very welcome and made sure we had an fabulous time. The food was excellent in the evening and a good hearty selection for breakfast 😋 The young lady and gent on both restaurant services were a total credit to the business. This hotel has its own personality. It is clean comfortable and cosy. Loved it and will make it back again sometime. Thank you to everyone for making our stay a wonderful memory.
Beautiful location
Needed updating as the facilities in the rooms and in the general hotel were a bit tired
From the outside the hotel is looking very tired and is in need of some maintenance.
Stunning location and views
Fabulous location overlooking the river -simply spectacular. Evening meal was reasonably priced and quality was also good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great stay.
I like the location and being close to the river
TV reception was very poor. Also it can be difficult to park
Great location, free parking, lovely dining area, friendly staff, good food
Poor Wi-Fi
Lovely hotel excellent food, helpful staff
Room size was too small and very warm
Everything was lovely. The view was stunning the sound of the water was so relaxing. The food was amazing and a good choice on the menu. All staff were friendly and helpful.
The only downside for us was the two lots of stairs to get to our lovely room but we were aware there was no lift.
