Shower wasn’t great
The hotel has a carpark just across the road which is invaluable in a place like Lyme Regis but its location means an easy walk down into town but more challenging on return- quite steep in parts! Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent. View from garden lovely.
Hotel in need of attention to cosmetic defects
The history, the location and the decor
The curtains! Got 70’s flashbacks and was confused about the mustard curtains in a cute pink room!
Location: It is very close to the beaches and town centre.
Cleaniness and general maintenance of the place was very poor! The breakfast was tasty, however there was one sausage each and very small portions. Did not feel worth the price and I wouldn't stay here again/recommend this hotel.

It's a work in progress refurbishing going on as we speak The chefs are superb though don't underestimate this if u stay We had seebass to die for .
Location was good with free parking which is a real asset in this town. Breakfast room was well positioned for views of the sea and the young lady in charge of the breakfasts was a beacon of joy and professionalism.
The bedroom was dated and the bathroom very shabby. Note to hotel, the sliding shower screen is off its runner and the pull chord for the light is dirty and broken. The sliding sash windows are in serious need of repair and are historic so it’s sad to see the owners let them become so dilapidated.

We were offered to choose a breakfast slot. As we knew we were in a hurry to leave we chose 8.10 (8 was already taken). When we arrived at 8.10 punctually there were many people there. We ordered our meal. We then waited over half an hour. The very pleasant waitress could see we were perplexed and assured ours was next. But we were then given the wrong meal. The waitress was very apologetic - our real meal arrived after another wait - and was not very nice.
The waitress tried very hard - she was obvious flustered and said lots of people had not. One down at the right time. No point offering skits if you can’t operate them! We really wanted to leave much earlier than we managed.
Cooked breakfast ok.
Lack of choice for continental Breakfast, over ripe bananas and under ripe pears the only fresh fruit on offer. The whole presentation poor. No shades or curtains on restaurant windows making the room unbearably hot. Lounge area very sparse and outdoor furniture stacked in boxes in a corner of the room. Dead plants in pots at entrance to reception. No door on shower cubicle in bathroom, so floor very wet, tiles extremely grubby, towel rail broken and left on the floor. No bedside lamp. Stained crack on the ceiling above bed. All complaints reported to member of staff who made a written note of our concerns but no reaction from anybody and nothing rectified.
Absolutely loved the location, the garden is fabulous, it has comfortable seating and an amazing view. We sat there for most of the evening. We loved that it was family run, really unique, great customer service, you were made to feel so welcome. The chef also cooked to order, all fresh and generous portions! We loved our stay. Car park opposite was a super bonus! Thank you!

Gemma, our contact throughout our stay, was amazing. It really was down to her that we had such a positive experience. Nothing was too much, she was always smiling and ready to help. We weren't the easiest guests as we had to ask her to help us store cool bag items (quite a lot as we had driven from Italy for a house move!), we had a dog, a baby, needed to borrow a marker pen, an adapter plug, etc, etc. She really was fantastic and we will fondly remember our stay thanks to her.
The rooms were a little basic, but I think this is very normal for pub accommodation, as it is really the warm welcome of the hosts (and the excellent fare in the restaurant, plus the breakfast) that make the stay worthwhile.
The room was small and shabby, with cracked and water stained ceiling. The shower door was missing and the shower was grimy.
Breakfast was passable, but not good.
Very expensive for what it was.
It needs a total refurb.
Good location, easy walking distance to town and beach. Rooms were clean and refreshed daily. Plenty of storage for clothes and belongings. A good variety of choices for breakfast with was delicious. Staff were very polite and helpful.
Unglaublich nettes Personal und der gratis Parkplatz war Gold wert in Lyme Regis.
