Hotel accomadation staff and food all very good standard.
Excellent value for money.
Nothing.
Location was great with an excellent view over the amber valley
The food during dinner time was not available as they stopped serving at 7
Beautiful old building with lots of character and features. The outside seating area had amazing views of the valley.
Food was spot on.
The view of the valley is slightly obscured by a beach hedge which would be best reduced in height…
We were in the Churchill room with a lovely massive spar bath but the water at 9pm was only lukewarm and we had to boil the kettle multiple times. Dusty head board.
Service and breakfast
Very plush cozy. Attentive staff. Very relaxing in laid back surroundings.

Beautiful old building with wonderful historic features & maintained to a very high standard. Stunning scenery.
Busy road but I still slept very well.
Beautiful views and 24hr staff available. Staff are very good.
Pillows was old and not comfortable. Decor had not. Change in the 3 years since last visit. Car park was ample, so would of got rid of half of it to take advantage of the selling point of views and used it to the hotels advantage. It was expensive for what we got.
Welcoming staff on reception. We had a twin, accessible room as requested. Clean and comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Dining staff were delightful.
Bathroom needs a little “touch up” around the shower area. Tea tray in room only had 1 of everything, I am sure this was an oversight but details matter.
Amazing breakfast lots of choice
Bar and restaurant very cosy & great food
Friendly staff, helpful, warm and comfortable room, exceptionally clean and good condition. Good breakfast. Nicely furnished hotel, I like the real well in reception, kept from the original farmhouse, the grand piano and grandfather clock. It had character. Good breakfast.
Food excellent
