We got a room quite late after cancelation from another host.
The staircase to the room was very tight, the room was small, the bathroom tiny, no hooks on the walls for stuff to dry. The promised breakfast on a day to day basis was not held up.
Location cannot be beat. On the harbor. Small rooms are historic and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast wonderful- the attendant was great. Parking was easy and convenient once I understood the rules.
Nothing worth mentioning. It’s an old historic hotel on the harbor. Charm has its minor down sides. I accept that.
Could not have been a better location, right on the harbour side (12/14feet).Our room over looking the beautiful bay, second to none.
Stunning location and views but honestly the rooms are tiny. We'd booked for paid for breakfast but requested a refund after the first morning as it was pretty abysmal really. Staff were keen to help but this hotel is relying on it's location. It needs some serious money spent on it to justify the price they're charging. Comfy bed.
See above. There was portable dehumidifier running in our room the whole of our stay and a quiet banging noise from above all night, every night, sounded like air in a pipe?? Room service only if you request it.
Location
Could do with the interior updating
Quaint property in a perfect location.
Location was great, staff friendly and rooms were comfy and clean. Would recommend.
Nothing.
The view from the room was spectacular
The whole hotel smells musty.
Stunning location right by the harbour in Portree with a sea view from the window. Fantastic room and facilities and lovely, helpful staff!
Posizione
Poco curata, completamente da rinnovare. Ruggine nel bagno. Non vale il prezzo della notte.
Great location, right by the harbour with rooms overlooking the harbour itself. Staff helpful and pleasant.
Hotel decor was faded and dated, with very small bedrooms, lacking any storage space, or shelves. The ensuite shower room was tiny, and badly ventilated. The whole infrastructure was much in need of modernising (the fire alarm went off twice on the 4 evenings we stayed, each time set off by steam from other guests' showers). The rooms are all so close to each other to be noisy, and we had other guests try to enter our room, thinking it was the restaurant's bathroom.
