Right place at the right time, but otherwise the most expensive and worst hotel room I can remember.
Pros:

Only the location, although the bed was comfortable enough.

Cons:

Tiny room for £250 a night, with only a bath (not described in the promotional material). I haven't had a bath for 20 years, but a shower curtain might have made a difference.

Great location and historic odd rooms. Staff were very friendly.
Pros:

Location was wonderful. Right in center of Oxford.

Cons:

The first room, 7, we had was a bit odd. Keep in mind this property dates to the 17 century. But no stand up shower and toilet too much prodding to flush. Second room, 5, had more room and much better bathroom.

Kind and welcoming owners, but a tired, dated hotel that no longer justifies its rates.
Pros:

It’s very central to where we wanted to be. The proprietors are friendly.

Cons:

We’ve stayed here before (2yrs) back but felt this time the price-value lost its mark. Its lost its charm therefore. Also breakfast was ridiculously priced for what we got. Go into town and you’ll pay less for more and better quality. Really sorry because it’s a lovely location and house. It needs renovation.

Hôtel au charme suranné au coeur de la vieille ville, absolument parfait pour un séjour immersif.
Pros:

L'hôtel typique dans son jus, tout de guingois et biscornu , le personnel attentif, bienveillant, la situation exceptionnelle et hors du temps, le petit déjeuner sur une vraie nappe, une parenthèse immersive hors du temps, et c'est ce que nous recherchions.

Cons:

Les matelas manquent de fermeté. Hôtel d'époque donc non climatisé, en simple vitrage, y séjourner l'été doit être moins agréable.

Un horror

Solo la ubicación y el personal, que son estupendos y simpatiquísimos.

Cons:

Todo. Voy a intentar describir fielmente el hotel. Según parece está en una casa del S.XVII y eso podría ser charming, pero no. Del mismo siglo son las moquetas, cortinas, toallas, camas, ducha, sábanas, paredes…un horror. Echad un ojo a las fotos que adjunto para haceros una idea, pero es solo un ejemplo, podría haber hecho 1000. No suelo escribir reseñas, pero en este caso la considero necesaria. Pagué casi 400£/noche para mis hijas y yo, y quería llorar cuando llegué y vi la habitación. Además, el baño estaba fuera de la habitación, cuando claramente en su descripción de Booking ponen que está dentro. Fui a hablar con el recepcionista para expresarle mi descontento y fue súper amable, trató de acomodarnos en otras habitaciones pero no había nada para 2 noches. Finalmente complementamos con otra habitación lo cual mitigó el problema de tener que dormir 2 en una cama (que tampoco lo había mencionado). Las toallas marrones de viejas y rotas, la ropa de cama no cubría el colchón…un espanto todo. Las paredes y techos agrietados, las tapicerías sucias…Me da pena calificar así de mal un establecimiento en el que trabajan personas tan profesionales y dedicadas, pero es lo justo. El sitio no está decente y menos al precio que tiene.
