A quaint stay close to Trinity College
Pros:

It was very quaint. Everything was very clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Perfect location!
Pros:

Perfect location in central Oxford. Truly a historic building. Nicely appointed room with coffee and tea facilities. Decent bathroom- everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable!

Cons:

Being the only route to one of Oxford's most historic and atmospheric pubs (The Turf Tavern- good for dinner!) it remained noisy until after 11 and our room was on street level. That being said, overall the location made everything worth it!

A fabulous stay
Pros:

A lovely building with welcoming staff. Charming room, very central and convenient for lunch, dinner at the Turf next door.

Easily the worst hotel experience of my life.
Pros:

Very good location.

Cons:

The rooms are old and not well maintained. I spent the first night in an attic which frankly was not fit for human habitation and it wasn’t the room I had booked online. I was moved for my 2nd night to a room similar to what I had booked. Unfortunately it was very noisy.

Pros:

Location is 2nd to none. The staff were very helpful and supportive. The lounge and breakfast rooms are quaint and relaxing.
I read some reviews saying the property was tied, it’s 16th Century, you would be tired. I agree it could do with a refresh in places and maybe put showers in rather than baths (crates more room). But the hotel is old, the floors are wonky and the stairs can be a challenge, but it is comfortable, located in a gray location and the staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The towels, a bit thin.

Et lille meget charmerende sted. Alt meget småt, men detaljer godt tænkt, så det hele fungerede.

Cons:

Er man meget stor højde el drøjde vil der være udfordringer, men hyggen og charmen vil ikke forsvinde.

A lovely stay in a very central location
Pros:

Location was excellent. Our room was ready early and there was no extra charge to allow us in early. A fan had been placed in the room and the hairdryer had a diffuser attachment provided - very unusual and much appreciated.

Cons:

All the breakfast items were overpriced so we did not eat at the hotel.

Overall good and I would book again.
Pros:

Ground floor room with small private garden, decent bathroom, very good location, private car park within 200m (£30 per night), excellent breakfast (price a little on the high side). Pretty good value.

Cons:

Relatively small double bed in relatively small room ( but not unexpected in this old property), limited hanging space

Perfekt boende under vår helg på Silverstone! Nära till tågstationen och smidig transport till shuttle-bussarna till och

Det låg nära till butiker och restauranger, samt perfekt gångavstånd till kollektivtrafiken. Hotellet har ett mysigt läge och olika rum att välja på beroende på sina egna förutsättningar.

Cons:

Det är väldigt lyhört och man hör steg och liknande från de närliggande rummen, samt när folk går på gatan utanför.

Locatie perfect, maar niet comfortabel

Verbleef er tijdens hittegolf, dan is charmant en oud dus geen airco en een kapotte koelkast in je kamer niet optimaal. Ook het synthetische beddengoed is dan niet fijn.
