Very overpriced and poor quality.
Pros:

Nothing except proximity to distilleries

Cons:

That they claimed no knowledge of my booking in spite of confirming it in August. The moved another customer to free our room. Freezing cold with window wide open when we went into the room. Awful tiny bathroom. Bad wine which tasted like the bottle had been open a while. Staff knew nothing about the whisky’s in their famous bar.

Another happy stay at The Mash Tun.
Pros:

This is my second time to stay at The Mash Tun for the Dramathon race. The staff are always wonderful and friendly. Our room was cozy and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The mattress is firm, which I think is perfect. Nice little welcome pack of shortbread and variety of water was very much appreciated. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and a jolly evening was had by all.

Cons:

The only complaint is the tiny little sink in the bathroom. It's pretty but not well thought through. It's so tiny and the taps are so close to the edge that it's difficult to wash one's hands let alone wash your face or brush your teeth. There's a decorative glass shelf right above the sink which makes access even trickier. I removed the shelf and set it aside. Replace that sink and I'd have no complaints.

Unique hotel experence best for one night only
Pros:

Unique old pub / hotel. To enter the upper level to the guest rooms could be challenging for older and those with mobility issues. The breakfast was included with the room which likely explains the high price in comparison to similar arrangements.

Cons:

You need to make reservations for dinner which we did not and ended up going to another hotel dinner which likely worked out better. Hotel guest should be given priority or allowances made!

Idyllisch gelegen und gute Küche
Pros:

Sehr gute Auswahl zum Frühstück mit sehr guter Qualität. Essen im Pub ebenfalls empfehlenswert.
Zimmer klein aber okay. Bett und Dusche fein, Bad zu klein für uns. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Parkplatz kostenlos vor der Tür.

Cons:

Steiler Stiegenaufgang nichts für Leute mit Knieproblemen. Waschbecken sehr sehr klein, da trifft man beim Zähneputzen kaum hinein 🥴

Wonderful stay at The Mash Tun
Pros:

We booked the lodge rooms for our family of 6. We absolutely loved staying here . The lodge was perfect for a large family or group with four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, 2 en suite and a large living room with fridge and big dining room. Lastly ; a terrific private rooftop deck . Staff was warm and friendly and prices very reasonable. Short walk to the Spey a river with a lovely path for walking / running . Town had a nice co-op market with great variety and open until 10pm. Otherwise , small town with few shops , all which close around 5pm. No laundry on site or other amenities.

2 flights of stairs to get to our room, but still a great view of the river from the top floor.

Great location to stay when visiting Speyside
Pros:

Great location( right in the heart of Aberlour and on walking trails with a very short walk to river) / room was comfortable with nice view of river/ bathroom was luxurious with view of church clock tower ; pub/ restaurant had good food and atmosphere;

Typisch Schots hotel waar je in wordt ondergedompeld.
Pros:

Er was keuze uit verschillende ontbijten met een optie bij voor extra yoghurt met granola, pancakes met siroop. Mooi verzorgd gebracht aan tafel.
De kamer ervaart u als een typische Schotse kamer met alle nodige luxe. Vergeet zeker niet te reserveren in het restaurant beneden om u te laten verrassen door een heerlijke keuken.
Zeer vriendelijk personeel.
