Great location in the middle of town and if one disregards modern amenaties such as old-style earthed electrical sockets (tripoliki" (three-pole)), its somewhat good value for money

Value for money!
Pros:

Come on people - you get what you pay for. Most hotels in Karpathos Pigadia are upwards of €130 a night - many thrice that. This hotel is €50 a night. Do not expect luxury.

As other travellers stated it’s old and over furnished and the shower needs to be held (same as in my other much pricier hotel). Leaving the key at reception is normal for someone Middle Aged as me. Shame the fridge doesn’t so work when the key is off - that’s my main quibble! And absence of kettle.

That said location is perfect and staff are super nice! I see water damage issues but it’s a tough economy and I hope they find the cash to fix these issues.

Cons:

Il bagno non passabile. Il disordine assoluto nelle parti comuni dell'albergo. Nel patio esterno dedicato alla colazione vi erano accatastati diversi pneumatici e in un altro angolo una vecchia lavatrice, un materasso e una vasca da bagno. Inaccettabile. Basterebbe poco per rendere accogliente anche un albergo modesto .

Terrible experience
Pros:

Good looking location, near the port. That's all.

Cons:

1 water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom, brought the ceiling down. Staff were uninterested and wouldn't help . I had to contact a greek friend to negotiate a refund.
No power to the fridge when leaving the room so everything was spoiled and warm all the time.
Very old hotel, in desperate need of repairs.
