Una bella scoperta
Pros:

Pulitissimo, personale troppo gentile, servizio impeccabile, vista meravigliosa, alla reception fiori sempre freschi. Avevo prenotato velocemente per sole due notti per poi spostarci in centro, ma in questo caso ne è valsa la pena di spostarmi ogni giorno verso quest ultimo pur di rimanere al Dorion hotel e sentirci sempre benvenute.

Geweldig hotel op een prachtige locatie, met ontzettend lief en behulpzaam personeel.
Pros:

Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons hier ontzettend welkom. We kwamen onverwacht bij Dorion Hotel terecht na een zeer teleurstellende ervaring bij een ander hotel. De eigenaresse Florance 💐 heeft ons persoonlijk en ontzettend snel geholpen. Omdat ik zwanger ben, hield ze daar direct rekening mee en gaf ze ons een prachtige, comfortabele kamer op een heel fijne en goed bereikbare plek vlak bij de parkeerplaats.

Het hotel is werkelijk prachtig: stijlvol, rustig, zeer schoon en uitstekend onderhouden. Maar wat dit hotel voor ons echt bijzonder maakte, is het personeel. Iedereen is oprecht vriendelijk, behulpzaam en attent. Ze dragen je koffers, helpen waar ze kunnen en proberen je absoluut niets aan te smeren. Integendeel: je merkt dat ze echt willen dat hun gasten een fijn verblijf hebben.

De schoonmaak is uitstekend, iedere dag kregen we schone handdoeken en werd alles perfect verzorgd. Zelfs kleine attenties, zoals extra fruit op de kamer, maakten het verblijf bijzonder. Onze kamer had bovendien een heerlijk balkon. Het ontbijt is lekker, het zwembad prachtig en ook daar kun je heerlijk ontspannen.

Dit is gastvrijheid zoals het hoort. Wij zouden hier zonder twijfel opnieuw verblijven en kunnen Dorion Hotel van harte aanbevelen.

De locatie is fantastisch. Het hotel ligt prachtig hoger gelegen, waardoor je een geweldig uitzicht hebt over de zee en de vele mooie jachten. Het strand is dichtbij en tegelijkertijd ben je met de auto binnen ongeveer vijf minuten in het centrum van Mykonos. Je hebt hier dus de rust en het prachtige uitzicht, terwijl alles toch heel dichtbij is. Voor ons echt een perfecte locatie.

Cons:

Eigenlijk niets. We hebben oprecht geen negatieve punten kunnen ontdekken tijdens ons verblijf. Als wij opnieuw naar Mykonos gaan, hoeven we niet meer naar een hotel te zoeken: we komen hier terug.

Charming design, but unfortunately disappointing in terms of cleanliness, comfort, security and service.
Pros:

The Victorian-style design was charming, and I liked some of the decorative objects and details.

Cons:

The property was not clean enough, especially the bathroom, which was in very poor condition and looked much worse than expected from the photos. There were also many ants in the bathroom. Overall, everything felt quite old and poorly maintained rather than fresh or renovated.

The bedding was another concern. The duvet had no proper cover, and there was only a thin blanket, also without a cover. This made me uncomfortable because there was no way of knowing when it had last been washed or whether it had been used directly by previous guests.

The soundproofing was very poor. We could clearly hear the upstairs neighbor walking in heels late at night, and the noise was directly above our heads while we were trying to sleep.

I also did not feel completely comfortable with the security. There was no visible security, and it seemed that anyone could enter the property quite easily.

The service was inconsistent as well. I ordered an Americano three times and received something different each time.

Regarding breakfast, we were not properly informed that breakfast was not included. We only found this out on our last day. The €20 per person charge itself was not the issue, but unfortunately the breakfast was neither good nor complete. There was also no one available to assist if we needed anything. I even found a hair in the fruit bowl, which I immediately reported to the staff.

Finally, the air-conditioning unit was positioned directly above the bed, so the air blew onto us while sleeping. The bedroom was also impractical, with not even a small table or surface where we could place our personal belongings.
