Location, location, location.
Pros:

The location was great as a base for the island. We hired a car, which allowed us to reach all parts of the island with 1hr being the furthest we had to drive.
The staff at breakfast were more friendly. The lady behind the little bar area made a great coffee, and the young lad who cleared the tables was on the ball. So it was very efficient.
The breakfast itself was ok. Some people would love it, we always found something that we liked, but eventually, you ended up getting the same food for the week. All I really need is coffee, and that was very good.

Cons:

The room was very dated. The bed was crazy hard, which if you like firm beds isn't too much of a problem. I thought I liked a firm bed, but this bed was hard!
We had also asked for a double, but it was 2 single beds pushed together, which meant you never felt like you were sharing the same bed. Not the best.

The staff at reception were courteous but not very friendly, but nice enough. If you like to be left alone when you're on holiday it would be perfect. I like a little chat with the staff when I'm away, but this really wasn't possible, hence courteous but not friendly.

Very disappointing. And that's being kind.
Pros:

Overall the hotel is pretty and characterful, and in a great location

Cons:

We booked a double room with balcony and sea view. On arrival we were allocated room 14. Unfortunately the view from this room was of the side of the building opposite (see photograph). If we stepped out on to the balcony and looked to our left we had a sea view. The expectation when you book a room with a sea view is that you can see the sea directly in front of you when you stand in front of the bedroom window - the room supplied cannot therefore be considered a room with a sea view and the hotel’s description of it is very misleading. Also, the bedroom walls were full of cracks and peeling paint (see photographs). How on earth someone can think it is reasonable to charge over £150/€175 per night for a room in this condition is mind boggling. Furthermore, there was a strong smell of stale cigarettes in the room and the aircon was next to useless (fortunately it wasn’t extremely hot while we were staying). The only redeeming feature of the room was a nice modernised bathroom with a good shower. Staff were generally pretty unfriendly apart from the two front of house staff at breakfast. You can much better elsewhere.

Loved the hotel, would stay again
Pros:

Gorgeous small, elegant hotel. Lovely decor. Quality furnishings.
Right on waterside (road in between)
Friendly, efficient staff.
Breakfast was stunning!
We also had dinner in the hotel - well, outside. Good food

Cons:

We only stayed for one night, and so had a small room & bathroom. Small balcony, nothing can be done about that!
The road is very busy.

Horrible
Pros:

Was extremely disappointed with this property we found a cockroach or a cockroach found us. When approached the front desk about it, the response was that they were aware there was an issue and they would spray and not to worry about it and brushed it off rather than address the issue.

Cons:

We were also promised I take away package breakfast because we were leaving prior to the breakfast time the breakfast consisted of a banana and orange and a cookie for three people pretty sad

Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels am Pier ist hervorragend, wenige Schritte ins nette Stadtzentrum. Die Terrasse vorm Hotel ist sehr gemütlich gestaltet. Das Frühstück schmeckt besonders lecker und ist abwechslungsreich.

Cons:

Unser Hotelzimmer war sehr klein, und besonders der Balkon bietet kaum Platz für 2 Personen.. Negativ möchte ich anmerken, dass das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück sehr unfreundlich ist. Obwohl es Frühstück ab 7 Uhr Früh gibt ( das ist gut, wenn man abreisen muss) bekommt man nur widerwillig den Kaffee und das ganze Frühstücksbuffet ist erst nach 7.30 fertig.

Good start to our holiday
Pros:

We stayed overnight at the Tourist hotel before driving to Poros for our holiday. We were greeted warmly at reception and our check in was done quickly.
We had a triple room with balcony overlooking the harbour. There was a 2nd room as well with a single bed which was helpful to lay out our belongings. We even had bathrobes and slippers which I did not expect.
Breakfast was phenomenal the next day

Cons:

It would be good if milk was laid out at the table at breakfast

Pros:

Frühstück ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich, Zimmer war in Ordnung, auch wenn die Suche nach diesem wieder recht beschwerlich war.... lacht... aber alles gut. Ein schönes Zimmer bei dem diesmal auch die Klimaanlage ging und bei dem es doch ganz erträglilch war eine Nachtruhe zu finden...
