Art Hotel Dubrovnik

A pesar de coger habitación vista Mar, era vista mal parcial… tenía un tejado de un edificio delante y para ver las vistas tenía que salir a la terraza. La recepcionista era bastante borde y sería, sin embargo el chico joven que atendía muy agradable y sonriente.

I would really have preferred to leave a great review about our stay here, as this is truly a very cute & charming hotel with lots of potential. What caught me off guard was the poor customer service here at Art Hotel. We were told we had to make a separate booking for our final night, as our room wasn’t available for that evening. The hotel knew about this in advance (and also knew we were attending a wedding the evening before the room change). We checked out by 10:30 as expected, left our room clear for cleaning, and were told that there were many rooms to clean, so we should come back at 3pm (the check in time for everyone else) for our new room. Perhaps it is a cultural difference, but the fact that zero effort was made to try to have our room prepared slightly earlier considering we were checked out from our other room in advance really surprised me. We paid for our stay in the same way as a continuous night stay, and never complained, which was then received with zero customer service. We were very tired and waited the majority of the time sitting in the lobby for our new room to be ready. Only to find out that the room was actually exactly the same size/type… and we could’ve easily just kept our same room without all this hassle (for them to clean and for us to do a check-out at 10am & check-in hours later ).

Was very tricky to get to with the stairs. This was only communicated after check-in, would be nice to know beforehand

The room was ok. We put the sign out for towel change and clean. We literally got couple of towels and used towels in the bathroom were left there. Room wasn’t touched.
We stayed from Thursday to Monday and I think someone should have cleaned the room at least once.

Nada a apontar.

The hotel is sited on a steep rock face and it can only be accessed from below and above by lots of steps. I acknowledge the hotel does mention these steps, but we felt it should be made a little clearer just how many there are and how steep. There is no bar in the hotel, which was a disappointment, it would have been nice to have a drink in the hotel occasionally, rather than having to contend with those damned steps every time you left the hotel. The fridge in our room didn’t work and although it was changed and we left the electronic door card in the slot as advised, it never got cold. The staff were accommodating in providing an ice bucket with lots of ice, so we could at least cool a bottle of wine etc. One day we were a little uncomfortable when the manager, clearly angered by something, berated another staff member at length in front of guests. Although we couldn’t understand what was being said, there’s a time & place for reprimanding someone…and that wasn’t it.

Mangler svømmebasseng. Mange trapper som kan være vanskelig for noen. Mye veps på uteområdet under frokostene.
