Great value, clean and relatively comfortable seafront accommodation. A better alternative to many of Cork’s overpriced

My stay at the Bosun Hotel was cosy, the staff were all wonderful kind peoples.
Pros:

The full Irish breakfast was splendid and the view of the harbour was amazing. I most certainly will let my friends and family know about the Bosun Hotel back here in the States.

Cons:

There was nothing that I can really note.

The Bosun is a home from home.
Pros:

Don is fantastic as before. Follows up on everything. Lovely lovely female chef (sorry didn’t get her name) who made breakfast so pleasant and cooked a lovely breakfast.

Not worth the money. 374 for one night for 4 people and only 3 had breakfast and that was not great.
Pros:

It was clean. A small room . Bed was comfortable. We went next door for a drink . The girl that looked after us checking in and gave us breakfast was brilliant and so friendly.

Cons:

The breakfast was ok . Not a great selection. Orange juice poured before we came down to breakfast. My daughter had grapefruit and it was from a tin .

Lovely place by the sea - but the Booking.com address needs updating.
Pros:

Loved the view out the roof window.

Cons:

The address for the location took me 25kms away from where it actually is. Rang looking for help, was given a eircode that also didn't work. Got to the front door of the accommodation and had to make another call to be let in, given a keycard that didn't work, so yet another call to get that sorted.

Great for a short stay
Pros:

Friendly staff, great breakfast, wonderful atmosphere in food and bar area in the evening. Bosun Arms met all our needs but is an older premises with limited facilities. Great for an overnight stay whilst in the area, and wanting a quieter area than nearby Cork city, Good sizes free car park directly opposite

Cons:

The price for our 1-night stay was high compared to other places in our car tour of Ireland (though this may be due to the Bank Holiday weekend). As an older premises the facilities were limited, such as the small lift that only went to the third floor and we were on the fourth. The television was not located in a great position for comfortable viewing but this is nit-picking and we would stay here again if passing through the area

Enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was very good and liked the location.
Pros:

Nice location on the River Lee. Short distance to the ferry to Cobh. The reception area, waiting room and breakfast room were cozy, comfortable and well appointed.

Cons:

The rooms were small and cramped, and there was no sound-proofing, so basically noisy until after 11pm.
