Ombak Resort at Ekas , a luxury surf and kite destination, Close to Inside Ekas beach

We had such a unique and memorable stay at Ekas Ombak Resort. From the moment we arrived, Tim, Leanne and Tallan made us feel so welcome – they are genuinely wonderful people who create such a friendly and social atmosphere.

My husband absolutely loved the curated surfboard selection and rental opportunities. Being able to try different boards, including a longboard, made the experience even more special. Tim even took the time to fix a chip in my stepdad’s board, which was incredibly appreciated.

The resort has such a lovely sense of community, with plenty of opportunities to connect with other guests. The surf trips were seamless too, with transfers by driver and boat straight to the break, making every session easy and enjoyable.

The food was fantastic, and what we loved most was the slow-paced, relaxed vibe of the resort. It’s the perfect place to unwind, surf, and truly switch off from the outside world.

We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already dreaming about coming back. Thank you, Ekas Ombak, for such a special experience!

We had an amazing stay for 4 nights. Traveled with a friend for a surfing trip. Resort is great - 8 individual rooms in quiet location - beds and facilities are high quality as is the included breakfast. We long boarded and the quality of the advice from Tim and the boards for hire were top notch. From the resort Tim drives you to Ekas beach which is only a few minutes away and then you have the option of an awesome beach break or taking their boat to inside Ekas. Both phenomenal breaks! There are also other warungs within walking distance which we also frequented. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend

The resort is very comfortable, and the open restaurant area is a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and meet other guests. The food was excellent, the service was consistently friendly, and the surf at both Inside and Outside Ekas was awesome.

I'd definitely recommend Ombak Resort to surfers visiting the area and hope to return myself one day.

Bei Lee-Anne, Tim und Tallon hat man sich vom ersten Moment an wie zuhause gefühlt. Sie waren unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Während meines Aufenthalts wollte ich Kitesurfen gehen, und sie haben alles für mich organisiert vom Transport zum Kite Beach bis hin zum Kontakt mit der Kiteschule. Dadurch konnte ich einfach entspannen und die Zeit in vollen Zügen geniessen.
Wenn ich nicht so weit weg wohnen würde, käme ich ganz bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank für die wundervolle Gastfreundschaft

I had an excellent two-week stay in mid-April and would gladly return. The staff make this place special—consistently cheerful, professional, and welcoming. Over time, they begin to feel more like friends than staff. Management clearly cares about the guest experience and goes above and beyond to keep things running smoothly.

They provide transport to the surf: a short truck ride to the beach, then a boat to Inside Ekas. The boat stays the entire session. There’s also a great beach break for longboarding or beginners. Surf conditions were consistently good throughout my stay.

Snorkeling at Pink Beach is a must-do activity.

The included breakfasts were excellent. A great start before heading out each morning.

The overall atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and authentic. An ideal base if your goal is to surf, unwind, and enjoy Lombok at a comfortable pace.

The team of Tim, Lee-Ann and Tallon and Local Staff are very welcoming each day for anything we needed at all , Access to local surf breaks , vehicle and boat transport, Big Shout out to our main man Adi for his daily energy and smiles.

The atmosphere is really, really nice. It's not too social (hostel style), but if you want, there are people to have a chat with in the lounge area or by the pool. This was the perfect mix for us. The daily surf communte also helps getting to know the people you're sharing the property with. The hosts are usually around all day, and happy to help out with any questions. I booked this place because of the daily transport to the surf and rental boards which worked out quite well. Note that the boat only goes out to Inside Ekas. There are multiple rental boards to choose from and scooters with boardracks available if you want to go surfing at a different time. Overall, I had some really good surf at both Outsides and Insides (but Inside Ekas can get crowded). We also visited Pink Beach (recommended!) and explored the surrounding area on a scooter which was a really fun thing to do.

Great location and overall vibes in the hotel. Perfect for surfing. Hosts are amazing. Best beef rendang in Lombok? Quite possibly!

We booked a week and loved it. Luckily they had a room for us so we could stay a few extra days. Grateful for all the help from the owners and staff to accommodate our wishes and needs in this beautiful location.

My husband was able to surf and although I couldn’t this time, this was place was perfect for me too…Hanging out by the pool in the beautiful gardens with birds, listening to chill music (great playlists), enjoying the perfect temperature and tropical breeze, or checking out the views of the countryside and ocean.

The food here was top notch, made from scratch and freshly baked goods. The Americano coffees we had each morning might be the best we have ever tasted in our 30 years of traveling. Wow!

The snorkeling trip that they arranged for us from Pink beach was wonderful. Lots of fish and good visibility. Bonus to be welcomed by staff as if we were part of the family.
