Amazing. But you'll want earplugs.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. You can have it in your room as well as any massages. The vibe and the aesthetic of the room we stayed in was lovely and really impressive. The place was really clean and well kept.

Cons:

The bed was too stiff for my back. We heard a lot of the outside noises; the crows and birds were very loud in the morning and woke us up at 5am and we could hear all the cars honking at night. I imagine most buildings in the area are the same though.

Elegant villa in the heart of town with exceptional cuisine. Highly recommended
Pros:

This is a splendid place: a very atmospheric villa in the heart of the old town in Pondicherry, with the nicest staff and outstanding food. We stayed 4 nights and could not find a reason to eat elsewhere!

Charming, friendly and welcoming
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful colonial hotel - so much thought has been given to creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The team behind the scenes are outstanding, friendly, kind and courteous. The restaurant is excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Pros:

Frühstück wurde an den Tisch gebracht.
Besonders zu erwähnen ist das Abendessen. Eine kleine Oase mitten in der Stadt.
Getränke der Minibar waren inklusive (Cola, Wein, Bier)
Service war wirklich ausgezeichnet.

Un personnel aux petits soins et un hôtel top chic… que du bonheur
Pros:

Personnel, prestations, restauration…. Pour un week-end tranquille sans enfant c’est excellent !

Would gladly go back
Pros:

The location was superb. A lot of fine places to eat and shop are just in the vicinity. The street in front is a little broader than other streets in White Town, so parking the car there is easier. There is also a municipal parking lot a two minute walk away. The staff are exceptional, friendly, helpful and seem to take pride in their property and work.

Quaint boutique hotel with a lovely atmosphere
Pros:

Really lovely staff, excellent food, a great atmosphere and really nice to have a pool.

Cons:

They gas the place out with diesel to get rid of mosquitoes but actually burning Neem does the same thing and is not toxic..

The perfect oasis in the middle of White Town
Pros:

La Villa is a lovely boutique hotel. Right in the centre of White Town Puducherry , it’s like a true home from home . Staff were fabulous, breakfast in the courtyard was heavenly (remember to say good morning to the namaste sculptures on the way down!) and our ‘Bridge to Heaven ‘ room on the top floor was truly spectacular.
La Villa is also part of a small family of cool hotels / restaurants. In the end we ate at one of the restaurants on each of our three nights - we particularly loved the food at Villa Shanti.

While I loved the place and enjoyed my time there, I felt it was very overpriced.
Pros:

It was personal and small. It felt exactly as the name suggests, like a lovely old Villa. The staff were very helpful, warm and professional. The feel I got was exactly what I was looking for.

Cons:

I didn’t think it was value for money. For the prices they charge, there should be a 24 hr parking facilities provided by them. As well as 24 hr food and room service or atleast food through the day. They serve food only during meal times and the kitchen closes at 10pm.
