Poor. Awesome staff should be working elsewhere
Pros:

The staff. 80% of the 3/10 score I've given is for the staff. The rest is awarded because the sheets were clean and comfy, despite no bedding covers on the single bed's duvet or pillow

Felt like we'd put our mattress directly under the pool table downstairs. Went with my 9yr old daughter and the language from the bar (till midnight) was obscene and could be heard like they were in the room with us. The bed and walls were chipped, splintered and serious cracks in the load bearing walls. The bunk bed ladder came away from the bed as it was loosely attached by nothing but friction and good will. Shower was very poor, pressure and heat wise. Toilet seat was extremely loose with no way of tightening it up. I know its a budget friendly place but its a 25min walk at least before you reach the boring end of the city centre. I wont be going back, which is a shame as the staff deserve a better place to use their excellent and friendly service.

Comfy but miles away and LOOOOUUUUDDDDDDD
Pros:

The mattresses were comfortable and what was in the room was clean and tidy. The staff were absolute sweethearts and were very helpful, pleasant, polite and courteous.

Cons:

Wow... well, the "hotel" is a loud bar with rooms, be VERY prepared for an extremely loud night. My 9 year old managed to get to sleep at 12.30am, i went to sleep at around 2am. The location is in the middle of a loud and very out of the way housing estate near an industrial estate.... sketchy. The bunk bed ladder seperated from the bed as it had no fixings to keep it secure. If my daughter hadnt pivoted to land on the double bed, she'd have crashed to the floor. There were structural cracks, paint chipping off walls and a very weak shower that, when not on full raging heat, is ice cold. The mattresses were comfy but the duvets and pillowcases had no linens... just bare. Disappointing after a lovely welcome from the staff, but the noise... god it was unbelievably loud... like it put a mattress under the pool table and slept there!! This should be specified in the listing, as I had a young child, hearing drunks F-ing and blinding till after midnight should not have been something she should hear.

Clean and comfortable. Lovely staff.
Pros:

It was what it said it was - a fairly basic room above a pub, but it suited me fine. I needed a bed for the night and this one was clean and comfortable. The person who welcomed me couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and the breakfast at the cafe next door was as tasty as any I have had.

Cons:

It was a bit further out from the centre than I imagined, and roadworks all round the Railway Museum didn't help, but without luggage it was a pleasant walk by the river into the centre of town.

It was allright for price . But needs a bit updating
Pros:

The staff were good bar was handy to have and pool table was a hit with my bairn who was 8 and breakfast was nice and beds were comfy

Cons:

The bed room I stayed in had 2 large cracks in wall on left hand side of room and under bed looked bit dusty .
