Pros:

If you have a car which we did not, there is free parking.
The historic building is lovely ( but rooms there are more than twice the advertised standard)the grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. But the taxi fares really add up quickly.

Cons:

Location. Too far out of center of Bath with poor public transit very poor accessibility. and while breakfast was excellent the dinner menu was dreadful and food was below average, with prices above average! And no lunch and nothing nearby. Also their web site is very misleading showing only the rooms in historic section rather than the dormitory like addition.

Great hotel
Pros:

Rather lovely approach to the hotel and reception was welcoming. We arrived around 12.30 and our room was ready which was great. Hotel grounds are beautiful. Car park was great plenty of spaces even though with a lot wedding on during our stay. The rooms are well presented with air con which was lovely in the heat. Clean and bed was comfy too. Breakfast good choices from the buffet or you could order from the kitchen which we did.
Only comments I would make was although the wait staff were pleasant there was a little lack of direction a table at the side of us was cleaned twice by different staff members using cleaning spray which when people are eating isn’t ideal and it was close to the end of the service anyway. That being said breakfast was good quality with plenty of options. The hotel is a fair bit of a walk from Bath centre but a short car ride away and the walk is nice along the canal or you can do the main road which is quicker.

The breakfasts buffet was fantastic and included a made to order menu as well which was even better! The rooms were so nice and comfortable too!

Stunning little gem
Pros:

A perfect stay for hubby's 60th birthday, cannot actually think of 1 issue. We even got a free upgrade as a gift for husband.
Lovely hotel lovely grounds
Very friendly staff.
And location perfect just outside the hassle of town but close enough to take a taxi.
Could do with breakfast being served a bit longer than 9.30 but not a major issue
Will definitely stay again

Cons:

Nothing to not like and that is an honest opinion

Oof. If you like overpriced mediocre to poor, this hits the spot.
Pros:

Free parking

Cons:

Bland to outright bad food at London prices, overheated rooms (30C on arrival, 20C by 3am with AC on full blast on a cool spring day), joke level signage (important on a sprawling site).
It's set up to host large tour groups of older people and weddings. If you like very warm rooms and average wedding catering slop, you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you value quality, save ur money, stay at premier inn and eat at a local restaurant.
Staff mostly great - like most people slogging away in minimum wage jobs somehow often seem to be, but I'd take cold but well paid staff and excellent food plus a great night's sleep over that any day.
